I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 465

A chorus of pressing questions echoed from the audience.

"Mr. Fletcher, you're only thirty, and Ms. Thorne is in her fifties. We can't fathom what you two have to discuss that requires going to her home, let alone traveling together to another city. Quincy City is known for romance. For the two of you to go there together... it's a bit hard to justify, isn't it?"

Another reporter, his tone dripping with obvious malice, snatched a microphone.

"Mr. Fletcher, rumor has it you have a girlfriend. Does she know about this?"

"She knows," Finn replied, his expression the picture of candor. "What of it?"

"And she doesn't suspect a thing about you getting so close to a woman old enough to be your mother?" The man let out a sly chuckle. "Your girlfriend must have nerves of steel."

Finn caught the malicious undertone, his gaze turning icy.

"Which outlet are you with?"

The reporter froze.

Finn gestured to a nearby staff member.

Someone immediately stepped forward, snagged the man's press badge, and flipped it over.

"The Horizon Network."

Finn stared the reporter down.

"The Horizon Network has a deep partnership with one of Fletcher Corporation's media subsidiaries. You take millions of dollars in advertising revenue from us every year. Yet here you are, biting the hand that feeds you." His eyes were glacial. "Go back and tell your boss that our partnership ends today. We will not give The Horizon Network another dime."

The reporter's face went chalk-white.

The staff member stepped in front of him, gesturing toward the exit.

A dead silence fell over the room, like a boiling pot suddenly yanked off the stove.

Several other media outlets with clear financial ties to the Fletcher Corporation quietly backed down, unwilling to get involved.

They would rather miss out on the viral clicks than destroy their own livelihoods.

The venue remained hushed for a few minutes, thoroughly intimidated by Finn making an example of the man.

But it was merely a surface-level calm; tension still bubbled underneath.

Leaning back in his chair, Finn signaled his staff.
