I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 54

He smelled a business opportunity.

"An ordinary tourist?" he scoffed deliberately. "With a face like that, you expect me to believe he's just a tourist?"

Landon had no idea how to respond.

He certainly couldn't deny Finn's striking looks.

The man stood there, undeniably handsome, even with a glaring red handprint on his cheek.

Way too handsome to be a random visitor.

The director brushed past Landon and walked right up to Sienna.

"Sienna, do you know this guy?"

Sienna shot a brief glance at Finn.

"I don't know him."

"Perfect," the director said, clapping his hands together. "If you don't know him, then there's no conflict of interest. We sign him."

Sienna's face darkened, her fingers curling tightly into the fabric of her skirt.

She had originally signed a one-month contract with Highland Gardens.

By the looks of it, she was going to be ending it early.

The director pulled out his phone, tapping the screen.

"Finn Fletcher, right? I took one look at your application form and I was sold."

He smiled up at Finn.

"Show up tomorrow, and I'll pay you three hundred bucks."

Finn remained silent.

He kept his eyes fixed solely on Sienna.

The director assumed he was holding out for more.

"Five hundred."

Seeing no reaction, he frowned.

"A thousand, and that's my final offer. I'm only giving you this much because you've got a great look. At the end of the day, you're just an extra..."

"I don't want your money."

Finn finally spoke.

The director was taken aback.

"Then what do you want?"

Finn stayed silent, but his eyes said everything.

The director followed his gaze and suddenly let out a laugh.

"Landon, let me remind you that your future is in the hands of the investors. The Spring Muse is going viral right now. Ruining your career would only take a snap of my fingers. Her throwing a tantrum is a minor issue, but your future going down the drain is a big one. Think very carefully about how you want to handle this."

Landon's heart plummeted.

He fully understood the gravity of the situation.

This wasn't just a simple historical costume showcase; it was a massively funded corporate project.

His final graduation project, his industry connections, and his very survival in this business were all tied to this event.

He didn't want to force Sienna into a corner, but he also couldn't sit back and watch his future burn.

Weighing his options, he gripped his folding fan tightly and stayed quiet.

"I'll give you half an hour to think it over." Director Cross patted Landon on the shoulder and walked away.

Seeing the director leave, Sienna assumed the matter was settled and walked over to Landon.

"I can go now, right?"

Landon slowly raised his head, looking as if he had just made a grim resolution, and carefully forced out a sentence.

"No! You can't leave!"

"Excuse me?" Sienna stared at him in pure shock.

It was as if the Landon standing in front of her had morphed into a completely different person.
