I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 586

The line was quiet for a few seconds before Maeve's voice came through again, this time noticeably softer than before.

"So when are you coming back? Give us a timeframe, at least."

"About one to two months."

Maeve and Grant had nothing left to say to that.

Because time was strictly limited, by the time Sienna picked up the phone again, she only heard Finn say one last thing:

"Sienna, I love you."

Then, silence.

The call had automatically disconnected.

Life continued to move forward.

Sienna went to work, attended meetings, and checked on the clinics as usual.

Once a week, she visited the Fletcher estate to check on Maeve and Grant.

The postponed wedding had caused quite a bit of trouble for the two elders.

But Sienna was sweet-talker who knew exactly how to provide the emotional support they needed, naturally lifting Maeve and Grant's spirits.

"When Finn comes back, we're going to throw you an even grander wedding."

Both Maeve and Grant had made that promise.

Sienna instinctively touched her stomach, wondering if she'd still be able to fit into her wedding dress by then.

That weekend was Lily's birthday.

Sienna arrived early at Lily's house.

Isaac had gone to the supermarket first thing in the morning for groceries and was currently bustling around the kitchen in an apron. The braised brisket was bubbling in the pot, its rich aroma drifting through the air.

Lily was leaning back against the sofa, her belly perfectly round.

She was nearly eight months pregnant and had put on quite a bit of weight. Just last week, she had been hospitalized for three days due to high blood sugar.

When Sienna first walked in, Lily was eating durian.

Sienna placed her gifts on the coffee table, sat down next to her, and snatched the fruit right out of Lily's hand.

"Did you forget you just got out of the hospital? Eating something with this many calories?"

Lily pouted, looking wronged.

"Isaac didn't say anything."
