Her gaze suddenly darted to his hand.
Finn's left palm was wrapped in thick white gauze.
"Did you get hurt filming this garbage?"
"Are you out of your mind?" Chloe's voice shook, her fury completely uncontainable. "You are an elite captain for Global Air! And you're out here shooting short videos? Trying to become some cheap internet celebrity?! Finn, have you completely lost your mind?!"
The motion-sensor lights in the hallway flickered on, casting a pale, ghostly glow over both of their faces.
"Come inside," Finn said, stepping aside and pulling her by the arm before shutting the door. "Don't wake the neighbors."
The moment he pulled her in, Chloe completely fell apart, losing every last shred of her dignity.
She yanked her arm out of his grasp, her voice tearing from her throat like broken glass.
"You'll do absolutely anything for her, won't you?!"
She screamed through her tears, her face a wet, messy disaster.
"You're a decorated pilot making millions a year! You are the heir to the Fletcher family! You could buy that entire park if you wanted to! And you're out there playing dress-up for some stupid video? Are you telling me you did it for the money? Finn, you are sick in the head!"
The more she spoke, the more hysterical she became.
Grace, manners, poise—she threw it all out the window.
She stood there with her hair tangled and her makeup running down her face, looking like a soldier who had barely survived a brutal slaughter.
Finn didn't even look at her.
He pulled out his own phone and pulled up the viral video.
His frown deepened into a severe scowl.
It wasn't because of Chloe's screaming, but because a horrifying realization had just struck him.
This video had been leaked. Millions of people were seeing it. How was this going to affect Sienna?
She was a doctor. She worked at a public hospital. What if her patients recognized her? What if her colleagues started gossiping?
Chloe was still screaming, but he had entirely tuned her out.
Only one sentence managed to register.
*The Fletcher family could buy that entire park.*
His thumb paused over the screen.
If that Director Cross wanted to blatantly violate their privacy, it was time to teach him a permanent lesson.
"Mr. Fletcher?" the voice on the other end sounded surprised.
Shortly after, the person called back, their tone incredibly hesitant.
"Sir... that Director Cross said he's willing to delete it, but only if you meet him face-to-face. He said that if you don't show up tomorrow morning at eight, he's bringing his entire crew to live-stream right outside the hospital. He also mentioned... with the Muse being so viral right now, camping at the hospital will bring in insane traffic."
Finn's grip tightened around his phone, his knuckles turning white.
"Send me the address."
He hung up the phone, clenching it tightly in his fist.
The night wind slipped through the crack in the window, chilling him so deeply that he shivered.
Just as he turned to leave, his phone buzzed again.
It wasn't from the same number. It was an anonymous text message.
"Finn, do you honestly think the director leaked that video? You're looking in the wrong direction."
He stared at the glaring text, and typed back a single line.
"Who is this?"
