I woke up feeling straight-up blissful, the kind of lazy, glowing satisfaction that sinks deep into your bones and makes every muscle hum like I’d been properly fucked good and thorough. Who the hell wouldn’t after what I’m pretty sure was the best sex of my entire life? We’d gone twice, the first time hot and desperate on my bed, then we made out slow and lazy until we passed out tangled up in each other. Later, around 3 a.m., we were back at it for round two, slower this time, deeper, the kind that left me wrecked and boneless. Sadly, he’d had to slip out before the house woke up, leaving me alone in sheets that still smelled like him.
After a very much needed hot shower that did nothing to erase the delicious ache between my thighs, I threw on a simple oversized shirt and gray sweatpants and padded into the kitchen, praying for coffee like it was my religion.
And just like that, my wish was granted.
Atlas was already there, looking way too fucking good for this early in the morning. His hair was still damp from his own. shower, dark strands falling messily over his forehead, and he had on a fitted blue button-down that hugged his shoulders perfectly, paired with gray pants that sat low on his hips. The second his eyes landed on me, that cocky little smirk tugged at his lips.
“Hi, love,” he murmured, stepping close and kissing me like he had every right to in the middle of his mom’s kitchen.
I pulled back quick, face flushing hot as I glanced around to make sure no one had walked in. “Atlas,” I hissed, gently swatting his chest, my voice low and warning even though my body was already leaning into him. “You can’t just kiss me like that.”
He grinned wider, that stubborn, mischievous glint in his eyes, and leaned right back in, kissing me again, deeper this time, slower, like he was daring anyone to interrupt.
“You should know I really don’t care.what anyone has to say,” he said against my lips, voice rough and low.
I couldn’t help the smile that broke across my face, my heart doing that stupid flip it always did around him.
He handed me a fresh mug of hot coffee, steam curling up between us. “Here.”
“Thank you,” I said softly, taking it and walking over to the counter to grab a couple of biscuits, trying to play it cool even though my skin was still tingling from his mouth.
“Sleep well?” he asked, voice trailing behind me, all innocent like he didn’t already know the answer.
I shot him a look over my shoulder, one eyebrow raised. “What do you think? Thanks to someone, my whole body feels like I fought a grizzly bear.”
He chuckled low and stepped right up behind me, his breath hot against my ear, making me shiver hard. “Well, you should get some rest… cause I’ll be back tonight. And the night after that. And the one after that,” he whispered, his hands slowly grazing down my spine until he cupped my ass, squeezing just hard enough to make my breath catch.
A small gasp escaped my lips before I could stop it.
“Then I should get prepared for the night,” I teased, voice dropping into that husky tone I knew drove him crazy, “Tell me… which do you prefer? Lacy lingerie… or just naked me?”
He groaned deep in his chest, the sound raw and filthy, and pressed his hips forward, grinding against my ass so I could feel exactly how hard he was already getting. “Fuck… now I’m thinking about you naked, Em. All spread out for me again.”
I smiled, loving the rush of power that shot through me. I could turn him on this easily, even in baggy sweats and a t-shirt, no makeup, hair still damp. Just me.

“On a scale of one to ten,” he whispered hot against my car, voice thick with want, “how badly do you need this coffee right now?”
I was about to say zero…screw the coffee, let’s find the nearest empty room, but then a sharp, deliberate clearing of a throat cut through the air like ice water.
