An androgynous voice, seeming to emanate from the very end of time and space, echoed forth.
The sound resounded directly in the deepest corners of Seraphina Sullivan’s consciousness.
It was lazy and tinged with disdain.
"The scent of the Power of the Beloved... and from under that brute, the God of Magical Beasts? Tsk, what an... alluring Aura!"
The voice seemed to carry a hint of pickiness, like a Gourmand who had just caught the scent of a top-tier ingredient.
Immediately after, Seraphina Sullivan felt a gaze fall upon her.
It was a gaze that seemed to pierce through her flesh, her soul, and all her secrets.
"Oh? So you’re the lucky one who stumbled upon my recipe?"
The voice now held a barely perceptible hint of surprise.
"Hmm... but what’s with you, little girl? Your Level is so low, so how did you get tangled up in the Auras of so many different Divine beings?"
"Let me see... the Aura of a Beloved of that bully, the God of Slaughter, who knows nothing but killing? You’ve been to his Beloved’s Coliseum? Tsk tsk, you’re lucky to have made it back alive."
"Huh? And the Aura left behind by that sticky, disgusting fellow, the God of Corruption? How have you not been corrupted into a lunatic? Or devoured and turned into a pile of..."
"Tsk tsk, and even the Aura of that little girl, the newly ascended God of Freedom..."
The owner of the voice seemed to grow more and more astonished as they looked.
Finally, a hint of amusement crept in. "I really can’t tell if you have heaven-defying luck or are just cursed to the core..."
Seraphina: "..."
’I want to cry!’
’I really, really want to cry!’
To have a Divine being—a ’He’—comment on her trouble-magnet constitution right to her face... the feeling was absolutely awful!
"Whatever,"
The voice seemed too lazy to delve deeper, carrying a transcendent casualness.
"Since you obtained my recipe, it must be fate. Seeing as you’ve had such a... ’colorful’ life, I might as well give you a hand. It’d be a waste of my recipe if you got eaten like a snack next time."
Before the words had even faded.
A stream of light, formed purely from golden specks and a tantalizing aroma, separated from the blurry figure.
Like a gentle strand of rain, it softly entered the space between Seraphina’s eyebrows.
Seraphina felt a warm, immense Power instantly flow through her entire body.
It washed over every inch of her flesh and soul.
The fatigue from the continuous battles and using her compendium was swept away, and even her mind became clearer and more transparent than ever before.
A deeper, inexplicable "blessing" seemed to be branded into her very being.
After doing all this, the blurry figure seemed to yawn.
It remarked with a lazy sigh:
"Hmm... it seems those old geezers are starting to get active, impatiently placing their Chess Pieces one by one. Fine. How could I, the God of Cuisine, miss out on a banquet like this?"
The moment the voice faded,
the magnificent figure vanished as abruptly as it had appeared, dissipating without a trace.
The divine might and golden light that had filled the Space receded along with it.
Time resumed its flow.
"HAAH—!" Seraphina could move again. She instantly doubled over, gasping for breath.
The experience left her forehead beaded with cold sweat.
It was as if she had just been pulled back from the edge of a bottomless abyss.
The feeling of insignificance and suffocation from facing a supreme being left Seraphina with a lingering fear.
"What’s wrong?"
Sean Chandler’s concerned voice sounded from beside her.
He frowned slightly, looking at Seraphina’s sudden strange behavior with confusion in his eyes.
Seraphina asked, "You didn’t see it?"
