She said these words calmly and with a smile as if she was discussing something light, as if they were talking about their day rather than the revelation that she had already attempted to convert him into whatever she now was.
Noah’s solemn expression remained as he gazed at this being.
He looked at her figure, at the form that still resembled the Absolute he had encountered in the simulation and here.
She still had the same features, the same posture, the same way of holding herself with casual authority that suggested she knew secrets no one else could perceive.
But her eyes were different.
Where before there had been calculation and ambition and hunger for power, now there was something else entirely. A serenity that seemed almost peaceful. A calm that transcended normal emotion. As if whatever she had become no longer experienced fear or doubt or uncertainty.
As if she had been freed from the limitations of individual existence.
The air she radiated was wrong in ways that his foundations recognized even if his conscious mind struggled to articulate. It was not malevolent. It was not threatening. It was simply... other. Different. Changed in ways that went beyond surface appearance into the very core of what she was.
Noah looked at her with a heavy gaze.
It seemed that silently, just a few hours after THE Fallout, a terrifyingly powerful Absolute had fallen.
And nobody had known.
THE Secretive Eon had fallen, and nobody had known.
The being who had discussed him with plans to collapse THE Four, who had seemed so confident in her schemes and calculations, who had existed since before The Infinite Unfurling as an Absolute in her own right...
Had already been replaced during that time. During their talks.
And now, something took her place!
Something that wore her face. Something that spoke with her voice. Something that utilized her memories and her knowledge and her connections as if they were its own.
Because in a sense, they were.
Noah broke down her words with the calculating mind of someone who understood that every detail mattered.
She had attacked him the instant he arrived here.
She had sought to include him in THE Glorious Evolution the moment his feet touched the ground of the Stoa of Dogmata.
And it had not worked.
Why?
His Claim over The First Tongue that represented the foundational language of reality itself?
Or perhaps his Infinities, those unique attributes that had allowed him to bear the weight of The First Tongue when THE Weavers and all others could not?
Something about who he was had resisted whatever this infection was.
Something had protected him without him even knowing.
But most of all, he now held an even heavier gaze as he thought of Skoll, Lumivara, and Ul’moreth who had passed through here!
They had stood in this space.
They had breathed this air.
They had been near THE Secretive Eon!
If this infection spread through proximity...
If it worked the way THE Primordial Chaos described...
Had his followers already been compromised?
The questions burned with urgency!
"You’ve said that there have been no falsehoods between us."
"Yes. They... we, are the purest expression of Existence. We say things as they are, with no falsehood. Deception is an impurity that we have transcended. There is no need for lies when one has already become what everything will eventually become."
"Those I passed through with here. The ones I just sent away. Did you also extend this... Glorious Evolution to them?"
"Oh, yes, Of course. It was a good experimental group to understand why things were not working with you."
"You have to understand. They are good. The blessing we extend is not a curse or an attack, but an elevation. A purification of what was already there."
"I initially resisted. When they first reached me, I fought with everything I had. An Absolute does not surrender easily, after all."
"But over time, I see more and more benefits as this... is The Way. They are THE Way. The fear fades. The resistance fades. And what remains is clarity that transcends anything I ever experienced as merely THE Secretive Eon."
"So yes. We extended that blessing over to them to understand the difference between you and them, and if we could reach you through them."
