Eon tilted her head and spoke calmly as if this was already clear, as if the answer was so obvious that the question itself was unnecessary.
"We are the purest expression of Existence."
Her voice carried weight that pressed against the air itself.
"Naturally, we only seek to embrace all of Existence to be in its purest expression."
She gestured expansively.
"THE Four are the main problems with the sheer capability of what they can do. Their Claims over the Oldest Paradox give them authority to resist in ways that others cannot. They are the priority targets."
Her smile widened.
"Others are less so, but all should be and will be extended the blessing of THE Glorious Civilizational Evolution."
She leaned forward slightly.
"With it, Civilizations can advance at their purest. There will be no conflict. No competition. No wasted effort fighting against each other when all energy could be spent advancing together."
Her eyes sparkled.
"With us, THE Creature will be grander than he can imagine. His Existence will be purified of all the impurities that hold him back. THE Living Paradox will express the purest paradoxes, contradictions that serve rather than confuse."
She looked directly at Noah.
"You... will live as THE First Tongue more than you can imagine. Every word you speak will carry weight that transcends what you currently perceive. Every Logos will be perfected. Every Philology will be complete."
Her voice dropped to something almost intimate.
"With us, THE Second Scale of Existence...Vakochev’s Scales of Existence will be guaranteed, and others will follow. Not as a possibility, not as a struggle, but as an inevitability. We will ascend together. All of us. Pure and unified."
Her words continued to be heavy and terrifying as Noah thought about everything that had occurred before he asked his next question.
"You have the power of an Absolute. Of THE Secretive Eon. Why... did you not use force against me? Why are you not using force now?"
He wanted to understand everything he could about this anomaly before he distanced himself.
He had to ask!
And Eon smiled as she said with the patience of someone explaining something to a child.
"We are learning new things as we go. We adapt. We grow. We improve."
She nodded thoughtfully.
"In Jotunheim, we came to understand that conflict actually weakens our cause. When we fought against those who resisted, we won, but the process was... inefficient. Damaging. Impure."
Her expression grew serene.
"Conflict is not a pure expression of Existence. It creates waste. It creates destruction. It creates entropy that must be corrected afterward."
She spread her hands.
"We do not have to cause conflict to spread THE Glorious Civilizational Evolution. Letting things take their course is best."
Her smile became something vast and patient.
"Naturally, in time, you will all join us in the light of pure Immensity. It is inevitable. We can wait. We have all the time in Observable Existence."
...!
Noah turned quiet.
He turned his gaze toward The Disciple of THE Secretive Eon, Nyx.
The twilight-formed being lay unconscious beside Eon, her features peaceful in a way that suggested she had no idea what was about to happen to her.
She had actually been safe in THE Agora of Primordial Judgment.
And he had brought her out into the jaws of a beast.
Eon saw him looking at her as she nodded with what appeared to be genuine gratitude.
"Oh, I, well, we, are thankful for this."
Her voice held warmth that seemed almost sincere.
"The last obsession within Eon was her Disciple, and you helped us fulfill it. When she wakes, she will have joined us. She will be at peace. She will be pure. She will no longer struggle against a reality that was always going to embrace her eventually."
BOOM!
Noah closed his eyes and breathed out calmly.
He whispered a silent apology to the void.
"I am sorry to who used to be Nyx, The Disciple of THE Secretive Eon."
"..."
He then opened his eyes and looked deeply into the eyes of THE Secretive Eon as he asked with weight that sought to understand the full scope of the threat he faced.
"What if you were attacked? What if I attacked you?"
At such words, Eon smiled as she said calmly.
"We will defend ourselves for the most part."
She tilted her head.
"But the mixture of Weavings of Existence will soon make all those around us part of us. That is the nature of THE Glorious Civilizational Evolution. Proximity brings unity. Time brings acceptance."
Her smile widened.
"That is why you were left for last. Or really, until we bypassed whatever allows you to resist THE Glorious Civilizational Evolution."
"Conflict is not natural, and yet against harsh conditions, things adapt and overcome."
"O Claimer of THE First Tongue, do not worry."
"We will adapt and overcome whatever is preventing you from joining us. We will get past it. We will find a way to get through to your Civilization, and we will work our way up to you."
"Do not worry. Do not worry."
HUUM!
