<THE True Human Emperor>
He looked at Yrsa coldly, and his eyes flashed!
THE Protagonist’s Omniscient Regard swept across the leader of the incursion as it reached for her truths, and her details unfolded before him as the crossing-dark itself seemed to lean in!
|Warden Yrsa|:: VERITAS: 23. PROVENANCE: 0. POTENTIA: 25. PONDUS: 28. A Warden of ?????. Her origin is ?????. She has never once broken a rule she set for herself. ?????
...!
Every attribute, apart from Provenance, above twenty!
Every single one! Above the wall of ten that had once capped his own sight, sitting in the range where Skallagrim’s completed panel sat and climbing past it, all of it seated inside a being who radiated absolutely nothing at all! Her PONDUS alone stood at twenty-eight, a bearing grander than a Blood Sovereign’s, wrapped in plain garments and a clerk’s calm!
Questions stacked themselves in his depths, and Noah set every one of them aside, because his rage had not moved an inch and neither had he!
He was undaunted.
He looked at the panel, and then at her, and when he spoke, his voice rolled out grand and cold across the crossing-dark.
"You have made yourself my enemy just now." His crimson gold eyes held her pale ones. "And because I am so fucking magnanimous, I give you this one chance to change course. In existence, when the many are dying and getting collapsed, they always wish they had done something different in the past. Some moment where the road forked, and they took the wrong side of it."
He let the dark hold the words. "That moment, for you, is this one. Change your course. Release my people... and you may yet have salvation in your future."
Yrsa listened to all of it without a flicker.
And then she smiled, calmly.
"I do not fear death." She said it plainly. "For my cause, I can gladly die. If what I am doing now becomes the reason I die in some future? I have no qualms about it at all."
Her head tilted. "But that is me. You... have these people I have chained."
Her pale eyes did not leave his.
"So, to show you how serious I am. In the next nanosecond, I will start by breaking the bones of the steed you cured and took from THE Krazhor-Nul Dimension. Or you can bring your main body here, alongside a certain Remnant Existential Treasure, and make the exchange. I will even honor you properly."
She waved her hand!
HUUM!
Light bloomed above her palm as a collar band manifested there, and it was not gray!
It was GOLDEN! A dazzling band of deep gold, seamless and unmarked, turning slowly above her hand as off its surface rolled a silent air of suffocation that pressed against the crossing-dark itself, a pressure that did not attack and did not threaten and simply sat there promising an ending to expression itself!
"A special Inhibitor," Yrsa said. "Meant to stifle the terrifying Descendants of Those Who Remain. I have never yet had cause to use one. For you, I will."
Noah looked at this lifeform coldly as, at the sides of his head, his own voice began to speak!
"We need to collapse every fucking shred of existence that she and her forces have." THE Provenance of the Closed Crown spoke low and flat from his left, arms folded, eyes shut. "Just go utterly apeshit, and figure everything else out later."
"That is feasible," THE Provenance of the Open Hand answered calmly from his right. "And Hvitrmarr and the others may die in the doing of it. For what? A momentary release of anger?"
The cross-legged figure’s light held even and warm. "Thalia said we need to obtain information about these ones. Brute force is not ideal here, and it is not even efficient. But we have other means. Consider what she is actually asking. She wants to chain us... and we cannot be chained. She does not KNOW we cannot be chained. So we play along. We let her close her collar, and she will take us to wherever this force of hers belongs, into the heart of everything she serves... and we can obtain information in abundance while every one of them believes they are guarding a prisoner. We would gain more there than we could ever gain by overcoming her here. And overcoming her here guarantees casualties."
"At what cost?" the Crown said coldly. "Think of what we are. Think of the stature of what we have built and become. How could someone of our standing be WILLINGLY imprisoned? Leashed? Paraded into their cages by our own consent?"
"Are we truly so prideful?" the Hand asked. "So overly arrogant that we cannot play a part? A prisoner’s part, worn for a while, in exchange for the best results our people can be given?"
"My freedom... for my people."
...!

"Put it on."
