Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse novel Chapter 5742

Chapter 5742: Change The Narrative! II

Existence breathes, and epochs pass, leaving Civilizations that become monuments, then crumble to memory, and are long forgotten when that breath comes again. In all these epochs, just what reigns supreme?

---

As Noah thought about the wonder that was Calliope, in the distance...the golden blade fell, and it fell as a rebellion given edge and gravity!

Alcaeus the Champion, rewritten by a pen he had never consented to, plunged downward through the dead air of the Cluster as a sword Gigaparsecs long, his inscribed foot the white-hot tip, and he crashed with the whole of his stolen weight into THE INFINITY EATER’s abyssal infinite sea of Dimensionality!

There was no burst of heat. No detonation of fire!

The blade did something colder and far more surgical, because Calliope had not written destruction, she had written betrayal, and betrayal cuts where a thing is weakest! The golden sword sheared clean through the Eater’s primary harvesting conduits, the great feeding channels through which the Infinity Eater drank the Infinity of countless lifeforms across a thousand Observable Existences and more thousands of Dimensions, all those distant existences who pulled their own Infinity from him and paid for it with a portion of themselves!

The conduits parted.

The infinite sea, cut off at its source, LURCHED, and the Eater staggered as an ocean that had always been fed suddenly found itself bleeding from a wound it did not undersand.

...!

But above, over her open codex, Calliope’s hand trembled as she breathed out.

To force an architect’s own champion to rebel against his deepest nature was not a thing done for free! The causal tension of it, a being made to betray the very shape it had been forged into, pushed back against her pen, and the tax came due in her own flesh.

Her silver-white hair whipped through the air as though a storm blew through the dead Dimensions, and from beneath her fingernails, dark and glistening, droplets of black ink began to seep! Her internal reserves burned rapidly, poured out drop by drop to hold the Rebel in place against Alcaeus’s screaming, authentic will.

|An archetype written into a living vessel must be continually fed. Where the vessel’s true historical intent pushes back against the imposed Mythos, the causal tension snaps backward into the author...|

Her Trueness itself was fraying at the edges, and she wrote on regardless, serene and bleeding at once.

Noah looked at this as this seemed like a limitation he may not be...too entirely bound by if he had acted.

But as things unfolded, far below, in the lower rift of the Cluster, THE Zenith of Subjugation reached THE Creature.

The clean Vessel of THE Sealed One did not rush even now. It extended its hands, and from them uncoiled seven pale chains of absolute suppression, each one a sentence of dormancy, each one designed to seize an existence and freeze it and press it down into a permanent, silent sleep! The chains lashed out toward THE Creature to still his weavings forever.

THE Creature ROARED at this time, sending his army far behind him as if he knew they could do nothing.

His titanic frame, caught in that paradoxical continuum where his Provenance existed both now and in a future not yet arrived, blazed with obsidian-white flames, and the flames scorched the pale chains where they touched!

But the Vessel’s weight was the weight of a being who specialized in taking, one piece at a time, everything a thing had, and slowly, grindingly, the suppression forced THE Creature’s titanic knees downward toward the dead ground!

Down!

And still further down!

And as his knees bent under the sentence of a monster, THE Creature reached back, and his great hand closed around the pure white bow the statue had carried for so long, and he pulled!
