Jealousy Alpha’s Regret
Chapter 203
She nodded thoughtfully. “Well, every pregnancy is unique, particularly in werewolf bloodlines with different heritage backgrounds. Let’s do the ultrasound and get a better picture of what’s happening.
After a thorough examination and ultrasound, Dr. Bell smiled. “Everything looks perfect. The twins are developing right on schedule.”
I stared at the small form on the screen, a lump forming in my throat. Despite all my uncertainties, seeing my babies made everything else fade momentarily.
“Would you like to know the sex?” she asked.
I shook my head. “Not yet.”
“Come back in a month for another checkup,” Dr. Bell instructed as we finished.
On the drive home, Rachel asked if I wanted to grab lunch, but I declined, feeling drained from the appointment. After returning to my apartment, I spent the afternoon working until I received a message from Jack Lowell’s household manager, inviting me to dinner.
The Lowell estate was only a short walk from my building. Jack greeted me at the door himself, his eyes lighting up.
Iris,” he said warmly, embracing me. “You look radiant.”
I returned his hug, still getting used to having a grandfather who genuinely cared. “Thank you for the invitation.”
Over dinner in his private study, Jack inquired about Stone Industries. I’ve been hearing rumors about the changes you’re implementing. Thomas Stone apparently isn’t taking it well.”
I smiled slightly. “Thomas had years to run the company properly. He chose to enrich himself instead.”
Jack’s eyes gleamed with approval. ‘You have your mother’s directness. Lily never shied away from difficult decisions either.”
As we finished our meal, I set down my utensils. “I’ve been thinking about hosting a Stone family gathering soon.”
Jack raised his eyebrows. “Oh?”
I’ve secured control within the company,” I explained, leaning forward slightly, “but now I need to make a political statement to the entire werewolf community. This gathering isn’t just an announcement–it’s a declaration of power. Every major family needs to witness firsthand that the Stone legacy has entered a new era under my leadership.”
As I continued, a look of shrewd approval settled in Jack’s eyes.
*Corporate takeovers are one thing, but in our world, social standing requires ritual and witnesses. This gathering will send a message that can’t be ignored -both to my enemies and potential allies.”
Jack nodded thoughtfully. “A bold move, but appropriate. When were you thinking?”
“As soon as possible,” I replied. “Before Thomas or Catherine can rally any support.”
“The timing is good. This would cement your position in both worlds.” Jack agreed. “My manager can help with the guest list. He knows exactly who should

be invited to make the right impression.”
After dinner, Jack told me more stories about my mother–her talent for design, her rebellious streak, her kindness. Each anecdote was like a small gift, filling in the blanks of my heritage.
Throughout the evening, I found myself conflicted about telling Jack about my pregnancy. The words hovered on the tip of my tongue several times, but I always held back.
When I prepared to leave, Jack’s manager had already compiled a preliminary guest list for my review. I scanned it quickly, noting all the major werewolf families were represented, including the Greys. Sebastien’s name was there, and seeing it sent an unexpected flutter through my stomach. A few days had passed since our encounter in the parking garage–his fever should be mostly gone by now.
