Chapter 206
Iris’s POV
I looked up and immediately met Sebastien’s eyes, that infuriating smirk playing on his lips as he towered over me. A wave of disgust rolled through me–not just emotional disgust at his arrogance, but something deeper and more visceral. My stomach lurched violently.
Oh God. Not now.
The familiar queasiness that had been my constant morning companion for weeks suddenly intensified. The pregnancy hormones were choosing this exact moment to remind me of their presence–triggered by Sebastien’s scent, the very man who had unknowingly caused
this condition.
I pressed my hand against my mouth, feeling my face drain of color. Sebastien’s expression shifted from smug to confused as he noticed my sudden change. His brow furrowed, and his grip on my arm loosened.
“What’s wrong with you?” he asked, his voice less commanding than before.
I couldn’t answer. Instead, I staggered away from him and bent over, my body heaving as I dry–heaved beside his expensive car. Nothing came up–I hadn’t eaten much at the event–but the spasms were painful and humiliating.
When I finally straightened, wiping tears from the corners of my eyes, I caught Sebastien staring at my midsection with an intensity that made my heart skip. Did he suspect something? Could he smell the changes in my body? Werewolf senses were strong, especially between
former mates.
“Your body,” Sebastien said slowly. “What’s wrong with it?”
Panic flooded through me. I needed to divert his attention–fast.
“Nothing’s wrong with my body,” I snapped, forcing myself to stand taller despite the lingering nausea. “I just got sick from your overwhelming arrogance and entitlement. It’s a natural reaction when someone’s this repulsive.”
His eyes narrowed, still fixed on my abdomen. “You’ve never reacted this way before.”
“Well, I’ve never been this disgusted by you before,” I retorted, though my voice lacked its usual strength. “Now can we please go? My family home is literally burning down as we stand here arguing.”
I tried to move toward the car door again, desperate to end this conversation and get to the Stone estate. Every second we wasted could mean another irreplaceable memory of my father turning to ash.
Sebastien stepped closer, his movement fluid and predatory. “Let me help you,” he said, his tone suddenly gentler as he reached for me, arms positioned as if to lift me.
“What the hell are you doing?” I gasped, stumbling backward. “Have you completely lost your
mind?”

“Don’t touch me!” I held up my hands defensively. “I can walk perfectly fine on my own.”
We stared at each other, locked in a silent battle of wills. My mind raced, calculating my options. Fighting with Sebastien would only waste precious time, and I needed to get to my father’s study before everything was destroyed.
“Fine,” I conceded, though it pained me to do so. “I’ll get in the car. But keep your hands to yourself.”
The tension in his shoulders eased slightly, and he stepped aside to let me enter the back seat. Daniel was already in the driver’s seat,
