Chapter 64
Iris’s POV
Three days had passed since I’d sent that message to Sebastien about
finalizing our divorce, and still nothing. No call, no text, just silence.
I’d tried calling him twice yesterday, and both times it went straight
to voicemail. The frustration had kept me up half the night, my mind
cycling through increasingly irritated scenarios of what he might be
doing–or who he might be with.
By morning, I’d made a decision. I couldn’t let Sebastien’s games
control my emotional state anymore. If he wanted to ignore me, fine.
I had my own life to build, my own career to focus on, and a twin to
think about. The divorce would happen eventually; he couldn’t hide
forever.
“Focus on what you can control,” I muttered to myself as I walked into
the office, straightening my shoulders and pushing thoughts of
Sebastien to the back of
my
mind.
I settled at my desk and pulled out my sketches for the North Star
collaboration. Work had become my sanctuary–the one place where
my talent spoke for itself, where I could lose myself in creation and
forget everything else. I studied the intricate lines of my final sketch,
adding a subtle curve to complete the pendant design. The project

was winding down, and I couldn’t help but feel a small surge of pride.
My designs had been the cornerstone of this collaboration, and even
though I’d never admit it out loud, proving myself had been
incredibly satisfying.
“Iris, do you have a minute?”
I looked up to find Lisa hovering by my desk, her expression warm. Just a few weeks ago, she’d barely acknowledged me beyond polite
nods.
“Of course,” I said, setting my pencil down.
“I was wondering if you could take a look at this concept I’m working on.” She placed her sketch pad in front of me. “Your approach to the
moonstone setting was brilliant, and I’m trying something similar but
struggling with the balance.”
I studied her design, genuinely impressed by what she’d attempted.
“This is actually really good. Maybe if you shifted this connection point here…” I made a quick mark on her paper, showing where a small adjustment would strengthen the overall piece.

From across the room, I felt eyes on me. Megan Claire was watching,

her lips pressed into a thin line, jealousy practically radiating off her.
I pretended not to notice, but satisfaction warmed my chest. She
wanted to see me fail, but instead, she gave me the perfect stage to shine.
The office door opened, and Marcus Foster walked in with a woman I
didn’t recognize. She was tall, with sleek blonde hair and an air of
authority that immediately commanded the room’s attention. My
wolf instincts stirred–she was definitely a werewolf, and from her
scent, one from a strong pack.
“Everyone,” Marcus announced, “this is Debra Williams from North
Star Studio. She’s here to discuss the final details of our
collaboration.”
I watched as Debra’s gaze swept the room, assessing everyone with
quick, efficient glances. When her eyes landed on my designs spread across my desk, something changed in her expression–a flash of
genuine interest.
