Justice For Juniper (Tatienne Richard) novel Chapter 169

Reviewing The Plan Part I

Juniper was frowning at the couple standing in front of her.

“How are you here?”

“It’s Phineas‘ grandfather’s birthday. We were invited.”

“You said you’d be back next week.”

“But we’re here now.” Her mother shrugged. “I love your dress.” Her mother grinned at her as she winked at Suki who was standing next to Frank in the middle of Juniper’s living room. “Suki, you look gorgeous.”

“Thanks Mama Maeve.” Suki gave a big grin to Maeve, “Fermín, I always thought Juni was the spit of her Mama, but I really see you in her, or her in you.”

“Thanks,” he winked at Suki. “I’ll take it as a compliment considering my girl is a gorgeous young woman.”

“Dad!” she frowned at him.

His smile grew bigger, “nothing feels better than hearing you say Dad.”

“Nothing?” Maeve lifted an eyebrow. “Pretty sure I caecall:29 some things which feel better than that.”

“Mama!” Juniper made a shuddering motion as Fermín slapped her mother’s backside. “Way too much information.”

“Says the girl who didn’t want me to stay in her villa in Spain because she was concerned I’d see her with three men on the stairs, counters and patios.”

“Adil has a big mouth,” Juniper grunted.

“Not the only thing big on me, baby girl,” he gave a snicker and fist–bumped Frank as he stepped into the room.

Juniper’s mouth fell open at the sight of him in a tuxedo. “Holy smokes.”

“You like?” he walked to her, held her by the hand, and made her spin under his arm. “You look like sin disguised as an angel, Juniper. I say we skip the party at the hotel and throw our own here.”

“Not happening,” Fermín snorted. “I came here specifically for this party.” He rubbed his hands together like a kid preparing to dive into a bowl of candy.

“My grandfather is happy to host our plots,” Phineas and Beni came into the space, each of them dapper in their tuxedos.

“Nope. I told him we’re trying for a baby, and he’s told me he’s willing to spill blood for you at this point. He mentioned something about me being a complete prick after some of the things he heard me say to Denise so he’s in awe any woman yapts to birth my baby. He also had a long talk with Inigo and 375 Anna via video conference yesterday. They were sad not to be able to make the trip back already, but they called him to wish him well and he promised to take good care of you in their stead.” Phineas pressed a soft kiss to her mouth.

She leaned backwards and pressed a kiss to Adil’s lips, “better?

“Thanks, but I’d like to know how come you all kept the arrival of my parents from me.”

“It’s a surprise!” Maeve glowered at her. “Why aren’t you happy about it?”

“Because it was one thing to get Dad’s opinion and backing up of our plans from a distance but somehow I feel like he’s going to do something horrible at this birthday party and it’s going to make Phineas‘ grandfather hate me.”

“Are you kidding? He loves a good battle. He was all in on the 475 plan for the Kennedys crashing his birthday party.”

“Who does that?” Suki asked as Frank sat down in a chair and she immediately plopped onto his lap and curled up, exposing far more of her legs than she intended and causing Frank to reach for a throw blanket to cover them with. “He wants to be the only one to see my legs.”

“Because they are mine and mine alone.” Frank grumbled. “If I’m forced to be in a monkey–suit, you need to make sure what is under this dress is for me to uncover later.”

“Yes my love,” Suki kissed his cheek and then looked around the room, “well? Can anyone answer my question? What kind of crazies crash the birthday party of an old man?”

“The kind who are desperate. Juniper made sure Kyst had no way to approach her or contact her all week. She’s been going to work. She’s been boldly going in and out of places she’s always gone but he’s been unable to get close to her because our security teams are doing their jobs.” Phineas commented. “We’ve placed a full team to be on you at all times tonight, Juniper but you probably won’t even see them. Kyst is going to think he is slick, but we know Denise is sneaking him and his parents in. They are hoping to embarrass you to the point we leave you and you feel you have no other option but to leave with Kyst.”
