Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 293

The mention of his disinheritance brought a fresh wave of grief and anger to Finley. He couldn’t understand why his grandfather would be so ruthless. Perhaps his mother was right. Maybe his grandfather had been hexed or cursed.

“Mom, you might be right,” Finley said, his expression grim. “Grandpa is either cursed or under some kind of mind control. Larissa is always treating his headaches. She could have easily done something during one of those sessions.”

Vivica was convinced. The way Larissa had commanded those venomous creatures was too unnatural, too frightening to be normal.

“If that’s true, we have to act fast,” she said urgently. “We can’t let her get away with this. If we don’t stop her, the entire Judson family fortune will fall into her hands!”

Then she had another realization. “I bet Neville and Sapphira are under her spell too! Ever since they went to that village to pick her up, they’ve been acting like they’ve lost their minds, doting on her as if she were their own daughter!”

“We need to find someone to examine Grandpa immediately and see if he’s been cursed,” Finley said firmly. “We have to snap him out of it.”

“But what if we’re wrong?” Vivica worried. “It would only make him more disappointed in us.”

The moment his grandfather had cast him aside, Finley had stopped caring about their relationship. “If we’re wrong, we’ll find a way to make it look like we were right. We have to pin this on Larissa, no matter what.”

With a plan in place, Vivica’s spirits lifted. “Tomorrow, I’ll find someone. You take Honora to the auction house and get that poison cured.”

“Okay,” Finley agreed.

Honora, who had been silent, clutched her face, her eyes burning with a deep, consuming hatred. This time, she would make sure Larissa never got up again.

From his bed, Leopold struggled to wake up, to stop his mother and brother. He wanted to tell them that Honora was the real threat, not Larissa.

Avril shot up in bed like a rocket, clutching her phone. “Oh my God! Oh my God! My hero just invited me to the auction house! This is the best day ever!”

She quickly typed back: [Yes! A thousand times yes! Where should I meet you?]

A moment later, Larissa’s reply came through: [Send me your address. I’ll pick you up.]

“Oh my God! She’s picking me up! This is a dream come true!”

After sending her location and an excited emoji, Avril waited a moment before jumping out of bed.
