Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 296

Just then, Sapphira spoke up. “Larissa, let’s go. We’re going to the Lincoln estate right now.”

Before Larissa could reply, Vivica sneered, “Have you completely lost your mind, Sapphira? You’re going to march into the Lincoln estate and demand Josette apologize? Even if Josette doesn’t care about her pride, do you think the Lincoln family will stand for it? What will people think? That the Judson family has no respect for them?”

She turned to Kiernan. “Dad, I know you favor your granddaughter now, but I urge you to let this go. It’s not worth offending the Lincoln family.”

Vivica then picked up her handbag. “I have errands to run. I won’t stay to watch this unfold.”

She needed to find an exorcist or a curse master to verify her suspicions about Kiernan.

As she walked out, she heard Larissa’s voice from behind. “Grandpa, if you’re uncomfortable, you don’t have to come. Mom and I can go by ourselves.”

Vivica stumbled.

That little brat was actually going to do it! If Kiernan agreed, it would prove he was no longer in his right mind.

After a moment of deliberation, Kiernan sighed. “Larissa, your aunt Vivica has a point. Perhaps we should let this go. I can offer you something else as compensation.”

“So, he’s not completely gone,” Vivica thought with relief.

But Sapphira answered for Larissa. “We can’t just let it go. If Josette had won, do you think she would have let it go?

No! She would have used it to humiliate Larissa. Why should we back down when she’s the one who lost?

“Okay.”

Larissa and Sapphira left the west wing, gathered their security detail, and headed straight for the Lincoln estate.

After a moment’s thought, Vivica decided to follow them. She had to see how Larissa planned to make Josette kneel and apologize in the heart of the Lincoln family’s territory.

...

An hour and a half later, they arrived at the Lincoln Manor.
