Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 314

Backstage, Mr. Lawson was watching the auction on a monitor. Hearing Larissa’s comment, he responded immediately, “Of course, Ms. Judson! Consider it done.”

Finley, who had come backstage to find him, was baffled by Mr. Lawson’s eager compliance.

“Mr. Lawson, you and Larissa seem to be well-acquainted.”

Mr. Lawson smiled professionally. “We are. Ms. Judson is my lucky charm.”

“Lucky charm? What do you mean by that?” Finley asked, growing more confused.

Honora, tired of hearing about Larissa, interrupted, “Finley, let’s just ask about the poison expert. Your condition can’t wait.”

More importantly, she needed to get her face back.

Putting aside his curiosity, Finley turned back to Mr. Lawson. “You told me the poison expert would be at the auction today. Has she arrived yet?”

Mr. Lawson’s eyes, still fixed on the monitor, crinkled with a mischievous smile. “Oh, she’s here. The poison expert is your dear sister, Larissa.”

Out in the auction hall, Avril burst out laughing. “Hahahaha… Larissa, your words are absolutely savage!”

Laughter rippled through the other private suites as well.

Garrick was so furious he could have spit blood. Even the woman beside him couldn’t suppress a smile.

“What the hell are you laughing at?” Garrick snarled, turning on her. “Did you think you could escape me?”

The woman froze, her eyes widening. “Garrick, you’re going back on your word!”

“Probably just Garrick and his latest girl playing games. Best not to get involved.”

Garrick reacted instantly, slapping the woman across the face and quickly shutting off the microphone.

“Leila Baylor, I’ve given you too much leeway! Do you really think anyone here would dare to save you?”

Leila fell to the floor, but she ignored the pain and looked desperately toward Larissa’s suite for any sign of a reaction.

But the heiress remained seated, perfectly still.

His mood completely soured, Garrick had no desire to stay at the auction any longer. He stood up, ordered his bodyguards to take the woman, and stormed out of the suite.

“Oh my god! He was forcing her! She wasn’t with him willingly!” Avril exclaimed, aghast. “That bastard is inhuman!”
