Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 495

The baby-faced woman’s eyes shone with excitement. “It’s no trouble at all, Chief! We’re thrilled to be able to help!”

“Alright,” Larissa said, turning to her secretary. “Ursa, this team of five will be exclusively responsible for the ‘Heaven’s Will’ project. Whatever they request, you are to approve it immediately without consulting me.”

Ursa pulled herself together. “…Understood, Ms. Judson.”

The staff’s curiosity was now at a fever pitch. Who were these five people that Larissa trusted them with such absolute authority?

The baby-faced woman waved enthusiastically at the stunned employees. “Hi everyone, I’m Plum!” she said, then pointed to her companions. “These two handsome young men are Timber and Winter. And that lovely couple over there are Jade and Gardenia.”

She finished with a sweet smile. “We look forward to working with you all!”

“Right… of course…” the employees mumbled back.

What kind of strange names were those? No last names?

Whatever. It didn’t matter who they were. As long as they got their paychecks, they’d do their jobs. All they cared about was that the company didn’t go bankrupt and they didn’t get laid off. Of course, if the company thrived and they got a nice bonus, that would be even better.

“Ursa, find them some desk space,” Larissa instructed.

“Yes, Ms. Judson.” Ursa turned to the group. “Follow me.”

Plum gave Larissa a cheerful two-handed wave before trailing after Ursa. The other four gave Larissa a respectful nod and followed suit.

With her team settled, Larissa returned to her office to continue working on the script. A few minutes later, Ursa knocked and entered again.

After work, Larissa slid into the backseat next to her dad in the car. She rubbed her tired eyes. “It’s been a long day, Dad. I’m just going to rest my eyes for a bit.”

She leaned back and closed them.

Neville glanced over at her, a fond, helpless smile on his face.

Ever since Larissa had returned to the Judson family, she hadn’t had a single day of rest. Other heiresses spent their days enjoying life’s luxuries. Honora, for instance, had spent her vacations at Haven Loft practicing art and music, or participating in competitions her tutors had signed her up for. Her leisure time was filled with flower arranging, yoga, and spa treatments.

But Larissa was a whirlwind, a spinning top that never seemed to stop. At home, she tended to her herb garden. At the office, she managed Starlight Media and still found time every day to treat Haskell’s legs. The collaboration between Judson Pharmaceuticals and the Schwartz family was a deal she had personally brokered. And on top of all that, she was still thinking about helping Sapphira.

Neville knew he had to step up. He couldn’t let his daughter carry the weight of Judson Pharmaceuticals on her shoulders as well.
