Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 670

"Good," Larissa instructed. "Leak the videos tomorrow when the time is right."

"Understood."

After the call, Larissa used her computer to access a private network and find the unredacted photos of Theon's accident scene. In every picture, his body was a mangled mess.

"Turns out his skull wasn't so tough after all," she sneered.

Next, she checked the trending topics on Twitter. The story had a new update.

[HOLY CRAP! This is instant karma! Theon, the son of Gale Entertainment's chairman, gets exposed for a hit-and-run from two years ago, and then dies in a car crash today!]

[For real? He’s dead? And he was hit by a car?]

[It's true. A friend of mine was on Sunny Road heading to the airport and saw the whole thing. It was gruesome. Theon's head was crushed, brains everywhere!]

[As gruesome as it is, all I can say is, he deserved it. Don't forget, after he killed that family, he joked with his friends that the baby's skull wasn't hard enough.]

[Looks like his own skull was just as fragile!]

[But seriously, isn't this a little too coincidental? It feels like a targeted killing.]

[It was. The driver already confessed. Said she did it to get revenge for a friend.]

[Well then. I guess that's what you call karma.]

Larissa closed the browser and leaned back in her chair, closing her eyes. She hoped that somewhere, the family of three could finally rest in peace.

Margot leaned over, gently stroking her son's shattered face.

"Theon," she whispered, her voice choked with grief, "don't you worry. Your mother won't let you die in vain. I will make Larissa pay for this with her life."

...

Back at the Judson family's east villa, during dinner, Larissa noticed her mother glancing at her hesitantly several times.

"Mom," she said, "is there something you want to ask me?"

Neville sighed and spoke for his wife. "Your mother wants to know if Theon's death had anything to do with you."
