Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 693

Meanwhile, Leopold was staring at his own blank Twitter draft. He had been writing and deleting potential posts for hours, but nothing felt right.

Back when Kitty was his manager, she handled all of his social media. He never had to think about this stuff. Now, every single word felt heavy.

Finally, at eleven o’clock, he settled on a caption: [I’ll climb to the very peak of the music world, just so you’ll see me.]

He didn’t schedule it. After one last look, he hit “Send.”

Almost instantly, his notifications exploded.

[Leopold, you’ll definitely make it to the top! You don’t need her to see you, we’ll always be watching!]

[Leopold, she’s not worth it! Stop doing this for her!]

[Exactly! It breaks our hearts to see you give so much and get nothing in return!]

[If you want a sister, we’d all love to be your sister!]

[Leopold!]

[Leopold!]

[Leopold!]

Of course, fans from the Field of Lari had their own thoughts.

[LMAO, what exactly has he ‘given’? A whole lot of empty promises?]

[Seriously, with so many people in the comments begging to be his sister, he should just pick one and stop bothering our Larissa!]

The internet was a war zone.

The real world wasn’t much different.

Ignoring her, Torrin slapped his credit card onto the betting table. “One million. I bet on Larissa to win.”

Suddenly, another voice cut through the crowd. “Betting on what? Do you even have any money in that account to be throwing around a million dollars?”

Sharon Dillon strode through the parting crowd and waved her bodyguards forward. “Take my idiot brother home.”

All eyes fell on Sharon, and a collective sigh of admiration swept through the bar. A true goddess!

“Let go of me, Sharon! Why do you always have to control me?” Torrin shouted, struggling in their grip.

For the first time, Sharon looked genuinely furious. She slapped him hard across the face. “If I don’t control you, you’ll just continue to embarrass the Dillon family and squander the money Dad worked so hard to earn!”

The slap stunned Torrin into silence. Since he’d been brought back to the family, his sister had never been kind to him, but she had never laid a hand on him either.

“You’re going home to think about what you’ve done,” she commanded, her voice like ice. “And if you dare cause a scene at Larissa’s birthday party tomorrow, you can forget about being a young master of the Dillon family. I mean it this time.”
