The negative comments about him had multiplied.
[LMAO, Leopold's fans were talking about a 'win-win collaboration'? With his skills, he'd just be dragging Larissa down!]
[Leopold and his fans are just alike, always trying to flatter themselves!]
[I thought Larissa was riding Leopold's coattails, but it's clearly the other way around!]
[Okay, can we officially cancel Leopold now? An artist who schemes against his own sister needs to get out of the entertainment industry!]
He’d read comments like that until six in the morning before finally passing out. He’d spent the entire day sleeping fitfully at his apartment, ignoring a dozen calls from Magnus at Gale Entertainment.
Finley sighed and patted his brother’s shoulder. “Try not to let it get to you. It just proves how incredibly talented our sister is.”
“Yeah, what else can I do?” Leopold said helplessly.
Paxton and Josette joined them.
“Dad, Aunt Josette,” Finley greeted them.
“Your brother’s in a bad mood,” Josette said to Finley. “You should talk to him.”
“It’s fine,” Finley replied. “He just needs some time to himself. He’ll come around.”
The East Villa’s butler looked at Paxton’s family. “Your invitations, please?”
Paxton and Josette presented theirs, followed by Leopold. After checking all four, the butler said, “You may enter.”
As they walked in together, he added casually, “By the way, why isn’t Vivica with you?”
Gloria waved a dismissive hand. “Oh, let him go.”
“But what about me…?” Stanley started.
Gloria shot him a look. “You can go too.”
“Alright, I’m gone!” Stanley sprinted through the gate.
Gloria sighed, watching her grown sons. “What did I do to deserve so many chaotic children?”
The butler barely had time to greet Levi and Stanley before they vanished inside. He welcomed Ziggy and Gloria as they approached. Soon, the other guests, including Avril Palmer and Solon Schwartz, began to arrive.
The butler had noticed a car parked in the shadows across the street, its occupant remaining inside. It wasn’t until Haskell Palmer and his grandfather, Zoltan Palmer, arrived that the door finally opened and Torrin emerged, gift in hand, and strode purposefully toward Haskell.
