Tawny rose and gave Larissa a slight nod as she entered, then they both sat down.
"Ms. Judson, it's a pleasure to meet you," she said, sliding a menu across the table.
Larissa's gaze flickered to Tawny's earrings. Her intuition told her this meeting wasn't Tawny's idea. Someone was listening in on their conversation.
As for who… it had to be the man Wynn had mentioned, the one who was holding Tawny captive. The same man backing the Lincoln family.
She wondered why he had chosen Paddy's Home. Did he know it was one of her establishments, or was it a coincidence?
Without showing any reaction, Larissa picked up the menu, ordered two dishes at random, and said, "Let's get straight to it. Are you interested in my offer?"
"Ms. Judson, I really don't understand why you would approach me," Tawny replied, her expression curious. "You must have seen the comments on Twitter. There is… history between me and Wynn. This move of yours will likely undo all the goodwill you've earned with your new songs."
Larissa smiled breezily. "Exactly. Think of the publicity! If you join the cast of ‘Heaven's Will’, I guarantee it will be the most-watched show of the year."
Tawny's brow furrowed. "Is that the only reason?"
"Of course," Larissa confirmed. "I'm a businesswoman, and business is about profit. So, I hope we can work together. I need you to put aside your differences with Wynn and release a statement on Twitter explaining that the whole affair was just a misunderstanding."
Tawny stared at her for a long moment, lost in thought. "I see. Getting me to clear Wynn's name—that's your real goal, isn't it?"
"That's right," Larissa admitted without hesitation.
After receiving her confirmation, Tawny lowered her gaze, contemplating her response. Larissa waited patiently, sipping a cup of coffee and watching her.
Larissa laughed out loud. "I don't know why you're asking me this, but the Lincolns were the ones who came after me first. If you want me to back off, they should be the ones to issue a public apology and offer compensation. For example, they could sell me Neverending Night at a steep discount. In their hands, that place will probably never be unsealed."
Tawny fell silent again.
At that moment, Larissa glanced at her earrings and said casually, "Those are beautiful earrings."
Tawny started, her eyes widening in surprise as Larissa slid her phone across the table.
On the screen, a few words were typed out:
[Do you need my help?]
