Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 831

Sharon was taken aback by her brother's sudden change of heart but remained skeptical. "Are you sure you've really thought this through?"

"Yeah, I have," Torrin replied. "If I truly love Larissa, I shouldn't be causing her trouble. I don't want to end up not only losing her but also having her hate me."

The memory of the look on Larissa's face as she slapped him sent a sharp pain through his chest. How could he have called Haskell a coward? He was the real coward. He had the advantage of being with her first but didn't cherish it. He'd mistrusted her and tried to drag her down into the mud with him… He was shameless.

Sharon breathed a sigh of relief. "Looks like those slaps weren't for nothing."

At the mention of the slaps, Torrin's anger flared again. He turned to face her, his voice rising. "Sharon!"

"What are you shouting for?" she said dismissively.

He touched his swollen cheek. "I'm not strong enough to hit you back now, but one day, when I am, I'm going to return every single one of those slaps!"

"Fine," Sharon said. "I'll be waiting."

"Hmph! I'm going to become a capable man!" Torrin declared, turning back to the window. "And when I do, I'll make Larissa see me in a new light!"

Even if, by then, he could never have her.

Sharon didn't want her brother to remain fixated on Larissa, even if he promised not to bother her. The best thing to do was to make him realize that other women existed.

Speaking of which, she quite liked that young Avril Palmer.

With that thought, she took out her phone, found the number Avril had used to call her before, and sent a friend request with the note: [This is Sharon Dillon].

A moment later, Avril accepted and sent back a question mark.

Sharon typed: [My idiot brother went to your cousin Haskell's office to cause a scene today.]

Avril: [!]

This meddling woman had the nerve to call him a simp?

Furious, he snatched Sharon's phone and fired back a string of angry voice messages.

"You nosy girl! You can't get a man, so you get your kicks by breaking up happy couples, is that it? I hope you die alone!"

Sharon sighed, watching her idiotic brother. She thought Avril was a decent match, but it wouldn't work if Avril didn't feel the same way.

Oh well, she'd just find some other heiress for him to marry.

After ten minutes of Torrin ranting into her phone, she finally cut him off.

"Torrin, if you want to yell at her, use your own phone. Give me mine back!"
