Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 842

After hanging up, Avril sprang from her bed like a coiled spring.

“Oh yes! Shopping with a legend! This is amazing!” she muttered to herself, already planning her outfit. She had to look her best; she couldn’t embarrass her idol.

Thirty minutes later, she was standing outside her front door, a vision of chic winter fashion. She wore a vibrant red coat with clean, elegant lines that stood out like a burst of warmth against the gray day. Beneath it, a black skirt and matching ankle boots completed the look, a striking contrast that Sapphira had helped her put together. It was, she thought, absolutely killer.

The moment Larissa’s car pulled up, Avril rushed over. “Larissa!”

Larissa rolled down the window. “Hop in.”

“You got it!” Avril slid into the passenger seat, buckling her seatbelt while admiring Larissa’s outfit. “Sapphira must have styled you too. You look incredible!”

“She did,” Larissa confirmed with a smile.

Once Avril was settled, Larissa hit the gas, heading for Regal City’s largest shopping mall.

“So, who are the gifts for?” Avril asked, getting down to business. “Is it for Haskell?”

“I’m meeting his friends tonight. His inner circle.”

“Ooh, I see!” Avril nodded, her mind already racing. “Leave it to me! You won’t have to lift a finger.”

An hour later, they arrived. As they walked into the sprawling mall, Larissa glanced at Avril. “You probably haven’t eaten yet, have you? We should grab a bite first. We’ll need the energy.”

“I just don’t like wasting food,” Larissa said simply.

Avril’s admiration for her grew. To be that wealthy and still hold such grounded values was a rare thing.

With their appetites satisfied, it was time to get down to business. Avril took her role as consultant seriously, steering Larissa toward shops with perfect, thoughtful gifts. An hour and a half later, their shopping was complete.

Larissa was pleased with Avril’s choices and was about to drive her home when she spotted a familiar face.

Honora.

“Isn’t that Honora?” Avril noticed her too, her confusion quickly turning to shock. “What is she doing in a baby store?”
