Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 857

After finishing his meal, Finley put down his utensils and spoke up. "I'm full. Thank you for dinner tonight."

He then looked at Larissa. "I'm heading out."

"I'm not seeing you out," Larissa said flatly.

Finley smiled. "No need."

He paused, then bowed deeply to Larissa. "Larissa, thank you for saving my mother. I mean it, thank you."

With that, Finley nodded to Sapphira and quickly left the east wing of the villa.

For him, being able to return to the Judson estate, to spend time with Sapphira, to see Larissa and talk with her—it was already a luxury. He couldn't ask for more. Leaving at the right time was the only way to avoid earning more of Larissa's disdain.

After Finley was gone, Sapphira couldn't help but remark, "It's a good thing Finley and Leopold didn't go completely off the rails. After what happened with their mother, I hope they can find some peace in their lives."

She looked at her daughter. "Larissa, you should go get some rest. Having Finley here today lifted my spirits. As for your father, I have faith you'll handle it."

Larissa nodded. "Okay. I'm going to check on the herb garden, then I'll head straight to my room. You get some rest too, Mom."

"I will."

Larissa went to the herb garden. The new medicinal plants were thriving, including the Phoenix Herb, which was absorbing the surrounding toxic powder and showed no signs of wilting despite the winter cold.

The situation at Judson Pharmaceuticals would require a substantial amount of capital to resolve. Once trust is lost, it's incredibly difficult to win back. Therefore, the key to solving this crisis was to show every customer her absolute zero-tolerance policy for faulty equipment.

Fortunately, she didn't lack money. She was confident she could resolve this crisis perfectly.

"Of course it doesn't bother me, because as long as my father didn't do it, he won't go to prison," Larissa said, gazing out the window, her voice dripping with contempt. "Lucius, don't think for a second that just because you have Jedidiah backing you, I'm afraid to touch the Lincoln family. For a long time now, the only things I haven't touched are the ones I haven't found. But there's nothing I'm afraid to touch. I'll give you three months, at most. And then I will bring the Lincoln family to ruin."

She was about to hang up but remembered his question about Fergus. "As for where Fergus is, why ask me? You'll have to wait for the police investigation to find out."

With that, Larissa ended the call.

Lucius's face was grim after Larissa hung up on him. He tapped his fingers on his mahogany desk, a cold, calculating glint in his eyes.

Even now, Larissa still refused to do things the easy way. She was choosing the hard way!
