[Not just one. I remember three female influencers with very similar styles who all seemed to marry famous actors.]
[For real? This is a huge story!]
[How could it be fake? Tawny even reposted it on her Twitter. Combined with what she said before about being forced by some powerful figure… man, it’s terrifying when you think about it!]
[So you’re saying that if the girls they tricked were willing, they became influencers, and if they weren’t… I can’t even imagine the consequences!]
[The authorities need to launch a serious investigation!]
After reading the article Tawny had shared, Honora knew it had to have been leaked by an insider or one of the victims. The details it exposed were nearly identical to what she had discovered since taking over the Luminary Arts Centre. The shocking comments below the article sent a wave of panic through her. She grabbed her phone to call Lucius, but her hand froze just as she was about to dial.
What was the point? Given his temper, Lucius would probably just have her killed.
Just then, her phone rang. It was Lucius.
The shrill, urgent ringing filled Honora with dread. She stared at the screen, her hand trembling. Should she answer?
No, she couldn't. Lucius would literally kill her.
Honora didn't decline the call, but she didn't answer either, letting it ring until it went to voicemail.
It rang again. Lucius again.
Honora bit her lip. "It won't take long," she insisted. "I'll be right back."
Without waiting for another word, she hurried toward the elevator. Just as she approached, the doors slid open, revealing a woman and two men.
Honora’s face went stiff. She recognized the woman in the lead—it was the same one who had come with Livia to capture her before.
"They're with Larissa! Stop them!" Honora screamed, spinning around and scrambling back toward her apartment.
Seeing this, Nightveil strode forward, calmly instructing the men behind her, "You two get her. I'll handle these guys outside the door."
