Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 923

Fergus lunged at Larissa with a knife. But the blade never reached her chest. With a sickening crack, Larissa caught his wrist and twisted it sharply, breaking the bone.

“Aaargh!” Fergus screamed as the knife clattered to the ground.

Larissa caught the falling blade and, in one fluid motion, sliced through the tendons in his wrist. Ignoring his agonized cries, she did the same to his other hand. Not stopping there, she sprinkled a toxic powder into the wounds, ensuring the damage was permanent and the hands would become completely useless.

Only then did she release him, sending him to the ground with a vicious kick.

Fergus writhed in pain, trying to clutch his ruined hands, but found he had no strength left in them.

Larissa toyed with the knife as she approached, looking down at his pain-contorted face.

“Fergus, I gave you a chance to live, out of respect for the Judson blood in your veins. You didn't take it. You chose to come here and die.”

Josette, who had been searching for her son, heard the commotion and came running. She froze at the sight of Fergus thrashing on the ground.

“Fergus! Fergus, your hands, what…” she cried, rushing to his side.

Despite everything he had done to her, a mother’s instinct took over, and she couldn't bear to see him suffer.

Josette fell to her knees before Larissa, bowing her head to the ground repeatedly. “Larissa, I’m so sorry on his behalf! Please, spare him just one more time! I promise I’ll keep him under control! He’ll never hurt you again…”

Her forehead was scraped raw and bleeding, but she seemed to feel no pain, her pleas for her son growing more desperate.

Larissa looked down at her coldly. “I’ve already crippled his hands. He’s useless now. I can spare his life, but if you want to save him, you can no longer stay in this village.”

Josette looked back at her son’s wretched state and nodded through her tears. “I understand. I’ll take him away first thing in the morning.”

“No,” Larissa corrected. “I’ll send you away.”

“What a thrilling and unforgettable New Year’s Eve,” she mused.

“Indeed,” Haskell agreed.

“I can’t believe so much has happened in the four short months since I returned to Regal City.”

“What are your plans now?”

At Haskell’s question, Larissa turned to him. “My plans? To plan our wedding, of course. Have you forgotten?”

Haskell turned to face her, a smile playing on his lips. “Of course not. But besides that.”

“Besides that… finish filming ‘Heaven's Will,’ make it a huge hit, acquire Gale Entertainment, write a new novel, and sell the rights to another company like I promised…”
