Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 170

Honora secretly hoped Leopold was right. She had waited a month, confirming with multiple sources that Haskell’s condition was hopeless before making the painful decision to end the engagement. If he was cured now, if Larissa got to have him, Honora would become the laughingstock of Regal City.

Solon stopped abruptly, and Leopold, not paying attention, walked right into him. “Hey, what’s your problem? Why’d you stop?”

Solon turned and looked at him. There was a coldness in his eyes that made the words die in Leopold’s throat.

“You should listen to your brother and sister, Leopold. Watch your mouth.”

Leopold stared, confused.

Solon pushed open the door to their private room and went inside.

Leopold was about to say something else, but Honora grabbed his arm. “Leopold, we need his help. Just drop it.”

He grumbled but held his tongue.

Not long after they had gone inside, Larissa arrived. Haskell watched as the manager of Paddy’s Home came out to greet her, took her keys, and then personally went to park her car.

“You know the owner here?” he asked as she walked over.

Larissa grinned. “I’m a shareholder. This place belongs to Zendar’s family.”

Haskell blinked, then a slow, admiring smile spread across his face. “Larissa, how many more secrets are you hiding?”

“I’m sorry, Honora, don’t be mad,” Leopold said, his tone instantly conciliatory. “If he really knows Field of Lari, that’s great. I was just curious. But he’s being so secretive, it made me suspicious.”

“That’s enough, Leopold,” Finley said sharply. He turned to Solon. “My brother can be a bit blunt. Please don’t take it to heart.”

He glanced at his watch. It was already noon, and Field of Lari hadn’t arrived. “Could you maybe give them a call and see when they’ll be here?”

Just as he finished speaking, the door to the room swung open.

The three of them looked up, their eyes widening in shock at the person standing in the doorway.

“Larissa? What are you doing here?” Leopold blurted out.
