Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 203

“Shut up! Stop talking!” Vivica cried out, unable to bear seeing her husband insulted like this.

Larissa shrugged and turned to Kiernan. “Grandpa, are you going to take this deal or not?”

This time, Kiernan didn’t hesitate. “Fine. We’ll do as your father proposed. If your uncle can’t turn Judson Pharmaceuticals around in six months, the company goes to your father. As for the ten percent stake, it’s yours.”

“Dad…”

Paxton tried to protest, but Kiernan cut him off. “Not another word. This is all Leopold’s doing. Consider this a lesson for your family!”

Vivica nearly coughed up blood. Not only was her son in a potential coma, but now, after coming here to confront Larissa, she had to watch Kiernan hand over ten percent of Judson Pharmaceuticals to her.

“I believe it’s my turn now,” Haskell said, his gaze fixed on Paxton and Vivica with a half-smile.

Paxton and Vivica froze. In their haste to deal with Larissa, they had completely forgotten about the titan in the room.

Paxton quickly composed himself, turning to Haskell with a forced, sycophantic grin. “Mr. Palmer, my son’s reckless actions put you in danger. Please, tell us how we can make amends.”

Kiernan had to admit it: Haskell Palmer was every bit the business prodigy he was rumored to be.

Compared to him, his own grandsons were a joke. They had achieved a measure of success in their respective fields but carried themselves with an unearned arrogance.

“If only Haskell were my grandson,” he thought. “The Judson family would be at the top of Regal City’s elite in no time.”

His granddaughter was proving to be exceptional, certainly more capable than Leopold and Finley, but she was, in the end, a woman. Women get married and have children. Once a child enters the picture, a woman’s focus inevitably shifts to her family. She might achieve great things for now, but in a cutthroat city like this, once you stop moving, it’s nearly impossible to regain your momentum.
