Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 204

Sapphira and Neville exchanged a look, more certain than ever that Haskell’s feelings for Larissa were genuine.

Vivica, on the other hand, was about to faint from rage.

She remembered the elation her family felt when Honora was engaged to Haskell. They had been counting on his power and influence to smooth their path in Regal City. With Haskell and the Palmer family backing them, everything would have been effortless.

But now, the engagement was off, and Haskell’s formidable support had been transferred to Larissa, the person she despised most. It was infuriating.

The bigger question was the situation with the Palmer family patriarch, Zoltan Palmer. There had been no news, which was unsettling. Could he really be planning to let a crippled Haskell inherit the entire Palmer fortune?

Kiernan asked diplomatically, “Mr. Palmer, how many shares in Starlight Media would you consider fair compensation?”

“Given the market value of Judson Pharmaceuticals,” Haskell stated plainly, “Starlight Media is a smaller piece of the Judson portfolio. I believe thirty percent would be appropriate.”

If anyone else had said it, Paxton would have exploded.

Appropriate? While Starlight Media was worth far less than the family’s core pharmaceutical company, thirty percent was a massive chunk to give away.

Larissa, meanwhile, casually popped another grape into her mouth, marveling at the situation.

So this is what they mean by fortune falling from the sky.

Paxton and Vivica were left fuming. They had come to demand justice from Larissa and had walked away with nothing, forced to watch her profit handsomely from the entire ordeal.

Meeting their resentful glares, Larissa said sweetly, “Wow, this car crash was totally worth it.”

Vivica looked ready to leap across the room and claw her eyes out.

Paxton just let out a cold snort, turned, and stormed out of the room.

As Vivica followed, Larissa called after her, “Aunt Vivica, I’m sure the doctors told you to talk to Leopold often to increase his chances of waking up. I think you should give him a detailed account of how his attempt to sabotage my brakes earned me a huge chunk of two companies. Who knows? It might just shock him awake. That way, you wouldn't walk away completely empty-handed, right?”
