Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 211

“I stand by what I said before,” Thatch replied dismissively. “The Judson family’s internal situation is just as messy as ours. Neville and Paxton are at each other’s throats over the inheritance. I heard Paxton’s son is in a coma because of this car crash with Larissa. They’re more desperate to get rid of that girl than we are. Who cares if she has skills or not? She won’t be treating Haskell for long. We shouldn’t create another enemy for ourselves.”

Draven relaxed slightly at the analysis. “Yes, that would be for the best.”

After dinner, around nine o’clock, Sapphira went home, and Larissa pulled out her phone to check the security cameras in her villa, wanting to see what Shadow, Snowy, and Sage were up to.

A few moments later, a faint noise came from the feed. The three snakes, instantly alert, scattered and hid.

Larissa watched the screen, her eyes narrowed.

Soon, an intruder appeared at her bedroom window.

She raised an eyebrow. What’s this about?

The figure, dressed in a tight black outfit with a baseball cap obscuring their face, slipped quietly through the window. They began rummaging through her room, spending the most time at the cabinet where she kept her vials and jars of medicinal compounds.

It clicked. Finley sent someone to steal the antidote.

He was getting desperate. And with her in the hospital after the crash, it was the perfect opportunity.

Larissa whispered into her phone’s microphone, “Snowy.”

In the darkened room, the thief froze at the sound of a woman’s voice. Before they could react, Snowy struck, sinking its fangs into their ankle.

A moment later, the thief scrambled back out the window in a panic.

Finley was stunned. “A venomous snake? Are you sure?”

“Positive. A small white one. He said he was lucky to escape. He’s at the hospital getting treated now. He’s dropping the job, says it’s too risky. He’s more worried about losing his life than earning your commission. He suggests you find someone else.”

Finley couldn’t believe it. Larissa kept venomous snakes in her bedroom? She was insane. A complete and utter lunatic.

“I understand,” he said, his voice strained. “Tell him I’ll cover his medical expenses.”

He was so worn down by Larissa’s bizarre tactics that he had almost lost the will to be angry.

“Understood. Should I find a replacement?” the assistant asked.

“No,” Finley said, his expression grim again.
