Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 534

He added, “You know, I always felt there was something strange about that whole incident. I’ve never worked with Wynn, but I’ve met him a few times. I can’t vouch for his character entirely, but he never struck me as the kind of man who would betray someone who had stood by him.”

While they spoke, Larissa had been searching for information on Wynn online. After a quick read, she said, “Gustave, I’ll make a final decision after I’ve had a chance to look into him myself.”

She couldn’t afford any scandals derailing “Heaven's Will”. If she was planning to sabotage Gale Entertainment’s new show, she knew Lucius would be planning the same for hers. This was a battle of information.

“Of course,” Gustave agreed. He pulled out a notepad and a pen from his briefcase and jotted down a number. “This is Wynn’s contact information. You might need it. I tried to talk to him about what happened back then, but he refused to discuss it.”

He placed the note on her desk, and he and Ursa left the office.

Larissa continued her research, looking up news articles about the accident and finding the name of the assistant who had died. The online comments about the woman were vicious, with many saying she “got what she deserved for being a homewrecker.”

Wynn’s supposed girlfriend, a woman named Tawny, had been a minor social media influencer at the time. A year after the accident, she launched her own acting career. She started with likable supporting roles and quickly graduated to leading lady. Now, she was a bona fide star, nearly as popular as Livia. Compared to Wynn’s quiet disappearance, her rise had been meteoric.

Gustave was right. Something didn’t add up. Instead of digging further herself, she decided to go straight to the source. She picked up the phone and dialed the number Gustave had given her.

“Hello?”

“This is Larissa Judson, CEO of Starlight Media. If you’re available, I’d like you to come to my office tomorrow. I want to discuss the lead role in ‘Heaven's Will’ and determine if you’re the right fit.”

“Okay.”

The single word was quiet, but she could hear the tremor of excitement in his voice.

“We’re just about to start,” she replied, taking a sip of the soup her mother had set before her. “How are you enjoying your trip?”

“It’s been wonderful, but I must admit, I miss being home.”

“When are you planning to come back?” she asked, setting her bowl down.

“In a couple of days.”

“Great. Mom, Dad, and I will come pick you up from the airport.”

“Thank you,” Kiernan said. He paused, then added, “After I get back, I’d like to invite Paxton, Vivica, and their family over for dinner.”
