Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 595

“He’s here,” Zendar said. “In Spire Village.”

Larissa was speechless. What in the world was Finley doing there?

“Luther, Kimberly, and I have all been so busy lately, we didn’t even notice a stranger in the village,” Zendar explained. “He never introduced himself, just found a place to stay. I only just found out who he is.”

He sighed. “I don’t know what he’s up to, but I sent you a video. Take a look.”

“Alright,” Larissa said, putting the phone on speaker. She pulled up the video Zendar had sent her on her computer.

It showed Finley standing outside the small hut where she used to live. His gaze was fixed on a dried medicinal herb hanging by the door. He reached out and gently touched it, a strange, wistful expression on his face.

“Did you see it?” Zendar’s voice came through the speaker. “What is he doing? Is he trying to relive the past or something?”

Larissa stared at the screen, just as confused as he was.

“So, what do you want to do?” Zendar asked. “Should we just run him out of the village?”

“No, Zendar, don’t do that,” Larissa replied. “I’ll have his family come and get him.”

“Good,” Zendar said with a scoff. “I’m sick of looking at his pathetic act. He refused to come and get you when he had the chance, and now he shows up here, putting on a show. Who does he think he’s fooling?”

He grumbled for another moment. “Anyway, I won’t keep you from your work.”

“Okay, Zendar. Talk to you later.”

“No, Larissa, it’s not like that!” Leopold quickly explained. “He means no harm. After he was cured, he had some kind of… epiphany. He wanted to see the place where you grew up, to try and understand.”

“Understand my life?” Larissa laughed, a cold, humorless sound. “Some kind of post-traumatic enlightenment? Tell him not to bother. It’s just annoying.”

“Larissa, please, I promise he won’t hurt anyone there.”

“He’s not capable of hurting them,” she said dismissively. “Look, your mother came here looking for him. Tell her he’s in Spire Village. And if she ever bothers me again, I’ll do a lot more than just knock her out.”

Leopold lowered his eyes. “…Alright.”

He left her office and returned to the waiting room, where Vivica was just beginning to stir.
