Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 65

Vivica snapped out of her shock. "Oh… okay."

She fumbled for her phone, her fingers trembling as she dialed. Her mind raced. His reaction seemed too extreme for a simple fall.

Was he attacked? Who would have the audacity to cripple her son?

It was always her son who bullied others, never the other way around.

Just then, Leopold and Honora walked in. Vivica rushed over to them. "Leopold, Honora, do you know what happened to your brother's leg?"

Honora looked hesitant.

Leopold didn't mince words. "It must have been that wild girl, Larissa!"

He then explained how he had gone to Starlight Media to tell Finley what happened, and how they had just seen Larissa acting disrespectfully toward him in the garage.

Vivica was furious. "She's gone too far! If she did this, I'll make her pay!" she seethed. "Investigate this! I want to know what happened, now!"

Finley dragged his useless leg back to his room and slammed the door. He sat on his bed and rolled up his pant leg, his face contorted in pain as he looked at the limb where his tendon had been severed.

Time ticked by. Just as his patience wore thin, a knock came at the door.

"Finley, the doctor is here," Vivica called.

A wave of relief washed over him. He struggled to his feet and limped to the door, pulling it open to let in the old doctor carrying a medical bag.

"Mom, you can wait outside," Finley said, trying to keep his voice steady.

Finley felt a chill run down his spine. The Judson family doctor was one of the most respected physicians in the country. If even he couldn't diagnose it, was there truly no hope?

Long after the doctor left, Finley finally took out his phone and dialed a number.

"Mr. Lawson, do you know any experts in detoxification?"

Mr. Lawson was the owner of Regal City's largest auction house, a man with connections to all sorts of powerful figures.

"Of course," Mr. Lawson replied. "The best detoxification expert in the country is also the most skilled poison master. Why? Have you been poisoned?"

"Yes. Money is no object if you can find someone to cure me."

"Mr. Judson, it's not about the money," Mr. Lawson said hesitantly. "This poison mistress is notoriously difficult to meet. She only ever contacts me when she has new, rare herbs to auction. A single plant can fetch over ten million. She certainly isn't short on cash."
