Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 666

Margot was speechless, but she quickly recovered. "Even if your father forgives you, I never will." With that, she got into her car and drove back to the hospital.

This time, Livia didn't follow. She returned to her own car, took several deep breaths, and looked down at the set of self-defense gadgets Larissa had given her. She fiddled with the watch on her wrist, trying to calm her racing heart before calling Larissa.

...

Meanwhile, Larissa had just left Starlight Media and was at the Palmer Group building for Haskell's final stage of treatment. They were already discussing Theon's death when Livia's call came in.

Larissa expertly inserted a silver needle into a pressure point on Haskell's knee, then put the phone on speaker.

"Theon is dead," Livia said without preamble.

Haskell, who had been watching Larissa's deft fingers, looked up at her face, which had grown even more radiant lately.

Larissa showed no surprise. She calmly picked another needle from her kit and inserted it into another point on his knee. "I see," she hummed. "How did he die?"

Of course, she already knew. But asking was a necessary precaution to avoid being caught in a trap. She trusted Livia, but there was always a chance Livia was being threatened or her phone was tapped.

Livia paused before answering. "A hit-and-run. His head was crushed. The driver was someone named Trudy."

She deliberately emphasized the name.

"I'm curious," Haskell said. "How did you get Trudy to cooperate?"

Larissa winked. "The experimental drugs I gave her were making her life a living hell. I promised her that if she completed this one task, I'd cure her of all the toxins in her system."

She then called for Sage and Snowy, her two small snakes who had been slithering around the room, to come and massage Haskell's legs as part of his therapy.

As the snakes glided toward him, Haskell nodded in understanding. "I see… But Damon won't let this go easily. He'll investigate it to the end. The news about your conflict with Theon just broke last night, so you'll be his and his wife's prime suspect."

Larissa was unconcerned. "Haskell, why do you think I chose Trudy for this job? Was it just to find a scapegoat?"
