Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 682

“Understood.”

After hanging up, Larissa glanced at the date on her phone. It was past midnight, now November 20th. Her birthday was the next day.

Vivica had been missing for weeks, and just happened to escape today, of all days. It was obvious her captors had let her go. They were making sure she wouldn’t miss the opportunity to cause a scene at the birthday party.

A small, humorless smile touched Larissa’s lips. In that case, she would have a little chat with Vivica herself and make this game a whole lot more interesting.

...

The next morning at breakfast, Larissa asked her mother for four invitations to her birthday party.

“Of course,” Sapphira replied. She retrieved the invitations and a pen from her room. “Who are you inviting? More people from the company?”

“Finley and the others,” Larissa said, writing their names on the cards.

Sapphira paused. “Larissa, what made you change your mind?”

Neville looked equally surprised.

“Paxton has teamed up with the Lincoln family,” Larissa explained as she wrote down Finley’s and Leopold’s names. “They’re planning to destroy me. Since I can’t avoid it, I might as well face them head-on.”

“What?! That man, he still hasn’t given up?” Sapphira exclaimed in frustration.

Neville, however, understood. “After all these years, he truly believed everything the Judson family had would be his. To have it all snatched away at the last second… of course he wouldn’t give up so easily.”

He sighed, then nodded in agreement. “Larissa’s right. If you can’t run from a fight, you meet it head-on and end it for good.”

With her husband’s support, Sapphira said no more. She noticed the last invitation was addressed to Josette, not Vivica. “Larissa, why aren’t you inviting Vivica?”

Larissa tucked the four invitations into her bag. “Oh, Vivica will be there. I just have a different kind of invitation in mind for her.”

After leaving the house, Larissa first stopped by Starlight Media.

“Oh, I know,” Larissa said with a dismissive smirk. “Your mother came by and threw a fit about it.”

Finley faltered, then continued, “The villagers all care about you very much.”

“That’s hardly surprising. At least they’re not as delusional as your family.”

Finley fell silent again. “I saw Uncle Neville’s butler come to pick them up yesterday. They’re all settled in Regal City now, I assume?”

“None of your business,” Larissa said, glancing at her watch. “If that’s all, I have work to do.”

Seeing her turn to leave, Finley quickly stood up and blurted out his real reason for being there. “Larissa, can I come to your birthday party tomorrow?”

He was fully prepared for rejection, but he had to try.

“Sure,” Larissa replied instantly.
