Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 704

After hanging up, Honora retched with disgust. It took her a long moment to compose herself.

She had once been an untouchable goddess, the object of desire for countless wealthy young men. Now, she was reduced to begging and demeaning herself for money from a good-for-nothing playboy like Milton.

The thought stoked the fires of her hatred for Larissa even more. She fantasized about wringing Larissa’s neck and displaying her head like a trophy. If her plan with Lucius succeeded, tonight would be the last birthday Larissa ever celebrated.

Just before lunch, Ursa rushed into Larissa’s office, clutching her phone with an ecstatic look on her face. “Ms. Judson, you have to see this! Just as you predicted, Starlight Media’s stock shot up this morning!”

Her voice trembled with excitement. “And look at Gale Entertainment! Their stock has been falling for three straight days because of the Theon Tyson scandal. Everyone thought Leopold Judson’s new album would stop the bleeding, but it’s still dropping today!”

Larissa simply nodded, her expression calm. It was all going according to plan. She knew this was just the beginning of the old entertainment giant’s decline. From now on, she would relentlessly crush Gale Entertainment, ensuring they never recovered, until she could finally acquire them completely.

A small smile played on her lips.

“We still have ‘Heaven’s Will’ in the pipeline. If that show is as successful as we anticipate, Starlight’s stock will climb even higher. All of you who chose to stay instead of jumping ship to Gale will be getting promotions and raises.”

Ursa’s eyes lit up. “I understand, Ms. Judson!”

“She did! You really can see everything coming, Miss! Honora just called and asked me to add a drug to the food at your birthday banquet tonight—something to make people sick. She offered me two million dollars for it. I’ll send you the recording of the call right away.”

“That’s it? Drug?” Larissa thought. Didn’t Honora know that toxicology was her specialty? She failed once and learned absolutely nothing.

What a boring tactic!

Larissa sat up straight and started the car.

“Good,” she said calmly. “I want you to add a portion of that drug only to the food served to Paxton and his family. Give the rest to me. I’ll pay you four million.”
