Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 764

She paused, then chuckled. “Then again, at her age, if she hears that the Lincoln family has gone bankrupt from inside a prison cell, she probably won’t last five years anyway.”

According to Nightveil’s investigation, Helena was just as vile as she’d claimed. It was her idea to set up the training agency that pimped out young women to powerful men. In her eyes, she was the only woman who mattered; all the rest were just playthings.

Haskell watched the dark fire dancing in her eyes. “Larissa, you must know that the Lincoln family was able to clean up its image and grow so rapidly to the point where they were rivaling my own family because someone was backing them.”

A dangerous curve formed on Larissa’s lips. “Yes. And the interesting thing is, this benefactor might have some connection to Wynn. That’s why I took the risk of casting him as the lead in ‘Heaven's Will’, even if it meant he could drag the project down.”

Haskell grew thoughtful. “So, you’ve officially declared war? The Lincoln family has funneled a lot of benefits to that man over the years. By exposing them like this, you’ve made it clear he won’t let you off the hook.”

He sighed in resignation. “That’s why my grandfather and I were never able to deal with them quickly.”

The Palmer family had plenty of dirt on the Lincolns, but most of it was superficial—like the incident with Jagger, which was just his personal crime and didn't damage the family as a whole. This orgy at Neverending Night was the first real blow to their reputation and their bottom line. It would also, inevitably, attract the attention of the man behind them.

Larissa opened the lunch Haskell had ordered and smiled. “Now that I’m here, you don’t have to hold back. You gave me such a sincere birthday gift. It’s only fair I return the favor with a gift of my own.”

Haskell smiled back. “I’d like that.”

After lunch and the acupuncture session, while Sage and Snowy massaged Haskell’s legs, Larissa leaned back on the sofa, scrolling through the news about Helena’s confession on Twitter.

[This news is so satisfying! The internet has been exposing the Lincoln family’s dirty deeds for years, including some deaths that were just swept under the rug. Finally, someone is facing justice!]

[Larissa is my queen!]

[What about that bootlicker Milton, the one who made the bet with Ms. Judson? He must be shitting his pants right now.]

Seeing that, Larissa closed Twitter and opened the “Regal City Tattler” group. She tagged Milton:

[@Milton: You mutt, see how nice I am to you? Most people beat the dog before the master. I went for the master first.]
