Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 837

Larissa knew what Leopold was implying with his text. He was asking if she would come to the airport to see him and Vivica off.

She didn't reply.

She had chosen not to hate them, but that didn't mean she had forgiven them. A clean break, never to see each other again, was the best path forward.

After getting ready, Larissa went downstairs for breakfast in her pajamas. Sapphira was already at the dining table.

"Where's Dad?" Larissa asked as she sat down.

"There was an issue with some equipment at Judson Pharmaceuticals," Sapphira explained. "He rushed out around three this morning."

An equipment issue?

Larissa frowned. She wondered if Jedidiah was behind it.

Sapphira hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Larissa, did you know Leopold and his mother are leaving the country today?"

Larissa looked up. "I know. He came to see me the day before yesterday."

Sapphira sighed. "After everything that's happened, moving abroad is probably for the best. I hope he and Vivica can find some peace and stay out of trouble."

She wisely refrained from asking if Larissa planned to see them off. In her mind, the fact that Larissa didn't hate them was an act of immense grace.

Leopold waited, but no reply came from Larissa. After packing his last bag, he and Vivica left the apartment and got into a taxi. He was still staring at his phone.

"You can stop looking," Vivica said coolly. "Your sister is not coming to see us off."

In the past, she would have cursed Larissa for being so heartless. Now, she just felt that they deserved it. The heartless ones were never Larissa, but her, her two sons, and her husband. When they were on top, they never would have considered self-reflection. Now that they had fallen, it was laughable to expect the person they had wronged to simply forgive and forget.

Leopold’s heart ached, but he knew his mother was right. He put his phone away.

"To the airport, please," he told the driver.
