Since it was Saturday, Larissa didn't go to Starlight Media. Instead, she went to Plum's place.

"Chief, good morning!" Plum greeted her cheerfully.

"Morning," Larissa nodded. "Plum, where's Tawny?"

Plum jumped onto the sofa with her laptop. "In her room," she said, glancing at the closed door next to her. "Chief, she's been cooped up in there for the past two days. I don't know what she's doing."

Larissa knew Tawny hadn't recovered from the trauma of being held captive and abused by Jedidiah.

"I'm taking her out for a bit."

"Good! A change of scenery will do her good," Plum said.

But Larissa wasn't taking her out for a walk in the park. She was going to show Tawny that suicide was a meaningless escape. If she had the courage to die, she should use that courage to fight the villains who drove people to such despair.

"Chief! Can I come too?" Plum asked with hopeful eyes.

A cold smile touched Larissa's lips. "His mouth is still working, I see. Looks like we'll have to knock out a few of his teeth."

She followed Nightveil to the room where Vivica had been held. As Nightveil pushed the door open, Fergus's voice bellowed from inside.

"Larissa! You bitch, get in here! When Lucius finds me, I'll get eighteen guys to teach you a lesson! I'll make sure you get pregnant and never know which one of them is the father!"
