Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 841

When Fergus heard Larissa’s words, his eyes burned with a hatred so intense it felt like they would split open. But after Tawny’s relentless beating, he was too injured to have an ounce of fight left in him.

“Well, you can stay here and take a few more hits,” Larissa said, a cold smile playing on her lips. “We’ll see if Lucius ever bothers to find you. Though, I imagine he’s a bit too busy saving his own skin right now.”

She stood, gave him one last kick for good measure, and turned to leave.

At the door, she found Nightveil waiting. “Any movement from Jedidiah’s camp after the news about Tawny and Wynn broke?”

“My sources say Jedidiah’s men paid a visit to the state penitentiary,” Nightveil reported. “We don’t know why.”

“The prison?” Larissa frowned, a memory surfacing of Honora hiring an escaped convict to come after her before she’d returned to Regal City.

Was Jedidiah planning to pull the same tired trick? Release a few inmates to kill her? What a joke. Hadn't Lucius told him that the last “professional hitman” they hired was now rotting in a cell himself?

Then again, it was entirely possible Jedidiah might try to spring that same hitman from prison for another go. But Larissa felt it in her gut—Jedidiah’s methods wouldn’t be that simple.

What was he planning? How would he get his revenge? Would he target her companies, the way he’d gone after the Palmer family? Starlight Media, Judson Pharmaceuticals, Sprout Tech—they were all vulnerable.

“Keep them under surveillance. Dig deeper,” Larissa commanded.

“Yes, Boss,” Nightveil affirmed.

As they left the safe house, Tawny, still trembling from the adrenaline, finally found her voice. She turned to Larissa, her eyes filled with a newfound resolve. “Ms. Judson, thank you. Truly. I’ve made up my mind. I’m going to live, and I’m going to live well. I’m not the one who’s dirty—those monsters are.”

Larissa started the car, a genuine smile touching her face. “Good. I’m glad you see that. But if you feel like that wasn't enough, just let me know. I’ll happily bring you back to give Fergus another round.”

Tawny nodded firmly. “Deal. Ms. Judson… I want to work for you. Can I?”

Larissa laughed. “Quick on the uptake, aren’t you? Of course. I brought you to Starlight Media for a reason. Make me some blockbuster hits.”

A sleepy voice answered on the other end. “Hello?”

“Avril, it’s me,” Larissa said warmly. “Do you have a minute?”

Instantly, Avril’s voice cleared. “I was just waking up! I’m free. What’s up?”

“I need to buy some gifts, but I’m terrible at this. I was hoping you could be my consultant.”

Avril shot up in bed, suddenly wide awake and buzzing with energy. “Say no more! I’m your girl!”

“Great. I’ll be there in half an hour to pick you up.”

“Perfect! I’ll get ready right now!”
