Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 840

Was it because he had powerful connections? Because he thought Larissa wouldn't dare to kill him?

If he escaped, he would surely do exactly as he threatened.

Tawny's rage finally overpowered her grief. Her hand shaking, she took the baseball bat from Larissa and advanced on Fergus.

"I don't know who you are," he spat, his mouth a bloody mess, "but if you dare to touch me, I'll make sure you and Larissa both die horribly. And your family too. I won't spare a single one of them—"

Family? She didn't have a family anymore. Only Wynn. Anyone who dared to use her to threaten Wynn deserved to die.

Tawny raised the bat and swung it at his head. As Fergus tried to dodge, Larissa flicked a silver needle from her sleeve, striking him. A numbness spread through his body, causing him to stumble. The bat missed his head but connected squarely with his shoulder.

"Ugh…"

The blow wasn't as powerful as Larissa's, and he only grunted in pain. Realizing her first strike had been weak, Tawny clenched her teeth and swung again, and again, and again.

"Die! Scum like you should all just die!"

The needle had fully taken effect, and Fergus collapsed to the floor, unable to fight back. He could only curl into a ball, trying to protect his head as Tawny unleashed her fury.

"Die! All of you bastards, just die!"

"You love trampling on people's lives, don't you? Let's see how you like it!"

"Does it hurt? You can feel pain too? You don't know what pain is until it happens to you!"

"So," Larissa asked, "do you still want to die?"

Tawny wiped her eyes and shook her head fiercely. "No! Why should I die and let these bastards win? If I'm going to die, I'm taking the scum who hurt me down to hell with me!"

"Exactly," Larissa said. "Why let them win? Stay alive, so you can watch the bastards who hurt you get what they deserve."

And Tawny would be the one to deliver that justice.

After Nightveil led Tawny away, Larissa planted her foot on Fergus's head and crouched down, a scornful smile on her face.

"You want to get out of here? That depends on whether Lucius is smart enough to find you. He and his butler came to the Judson estate demanding I release you. Unfortunately for them, I provided the police with a recording of our conversation and a video of me rescuing you. They were taken in for questioning. I'm sure he's been released by now, but as long as he can't find you, he's the prime suspect in your disappearance. Understand, my foolish cousin?"
