Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 851

At the assistant's words, Larissa shot up from the sofa.

At the same time, Haskell, who had been resting in his wheelchair with his eyes closed, opened them.

"What's the cause?" Larissa asked, her eyes clear and sharp, showing no sign of drowsiness. She hadn't really slept, her mind consumed all night by thoughts of her father being taken away by the police.

The assistant hurried in, handed over a report, and explained, "The technicians disassembled the faulty equipment that was returned from the hospital. They found that the sealant on the core sensor module had been deliberately replaced with a low-quality substitute. This caused the blood oxygen probe to produce an error margin of up to twenty percent after eight hours of continuous use."

Larissa took the report, glanced at it, and asked, "Are these sensors manufactured by Judson Pharmaceuticals?"

The assistant shook his head. "No, they're not ours. This batch of sensors came from Haven Health, a long-term partner of Judson Pharmaceuticals."

Larissa felt a wave of relief. At least they had a lead. She nodded. "Good. Thank you for your hard work. I'll take over the investigation into the sensor replacement. In the meantime, please help maintain order at the company and ensure the employees continue their work as usual. Also, from now on, all other medical equipment must undergo rigorous inspection before leaving the factory."

"Understood, Ms. Judson," the assistant replied.

Haskell looked at Larissa seriously. "Larissa, I'm very familiar with the world of corporate espionage. Let me handle this investigation for you."

Larissa had no doubt about Haskell's capabilities and agreed without hesitation. "Alright."

After all, Haskell was far more experienced in these matters. With him in charge, the investigation would be much more efficient.

The assistant nodded. "Just as Mr. Palmer said, Haven Health is likely involved in money laundering or accepted a bribe to intentionally supply defective products to Judson Pharmaceuticals."

It all clicked for Larissa. If they could prove that the equipment failure was a result of Haven Health being bribed, her father could be released.

Haskell already had a plan forming. "Larissa, go home and let Sapphira know what's happening. I'll start the investigation immediately and notify you as soon as I have something."

Larissa checked her watch. It was nearly six in the morning. The entire night had passed. Her mother must be incredibly worried about both her and her father.

"Okay, I'll go home now. I'll wait for your news," Larissa said.
