Hours later, my legs feel like jelly, and my hair is plastered to my head with sweat. I pulled back so quickly eery time my feared no

The silence that follows is comfortable. It’s the kind of quiet that exists between people who have spent enough time together not to fill
every moment with words.
Eventually, a question slips into my mind.
