And just like that, Hazam’s focus shifts completely toward her.
“Are you taunting me?” he says with a smirk.
“Just a little,” she teases. “But come on, Hazam, I know your wolf can’t let what they did stand. At the very least, think about it.”
Neither of them listens.
Hazam leans forward. “Do you want to know what I like about you?” he tells her, your determination. But even so, if I do consider this and agree, what am I agreeing to? This course of action? To give some of my men up for this mission?”
“Your agreement. Just like we got agreement from the other Alphas.”
“They agreed?” He asks
Aria nods.
He goes silent and then turns to me. “And why was this not done in a meeting with us all?”
“As you know, our weapons were just made. Everyone is scattered at the moment, training, learning, securing the mountain, or patrolling. As the days pass, we realize how much needs to be done and can’t afford to waste time. We hope to send out a team
tomorrow.”
His eyebrow raises. “That soon?”
“As I said, we are banking on catching them off guard,” Aria answers.
Hazam studies me, and I keep my face neutral.
“Very well, I agree.”
Good. Now we can see which I formation gets passed along.

Are you coming to the hall for the celebration?” I asked, ready to be free of his irritating presence.
“I’ll meet you there in a few moments, Hazam says dismissively.
I nod, guiding Aria out of the room by her elbow. We make our way quietly to the dining hall to join the others in celebrating our
new weapons and the health we have restored on our mountain.
It is also a chance to bring good spirits and morals to our people whose lives have changed so much in such a short time.
As we come upon the meal hall, Kade appears.
“There you are,” he says. He falls into step beside us. “Colt’s already been spoken to.”
“That was quick.”
“He didn’t exactly need convincing.”
I nod. Colt has a bloodlust that matches Elliot’s, but he’s much more short–tempered. I could see how little it would take for him to
earnestly agree with revenge.
Aria glances between us. “Have you already set up the teams?”
“Liam’s handling that,” I say.
She thinks for a moment. “Who’s involved?”
“Our pack members and members of Nightshade.”
“I think Hazel and Ransom should go too,” she says.
Kade and I exchange a look.
“With which teams?” I ask.

“The groups most likely to be connected to the culprits. If there is a force waiting for them, their skills will be valuable against the
hunters.”
I consider it. “That makes sense.”
Kade raises his eyebrow at me. And I shrug my shoulders, think of the one male who will most definite
idea.
Aria folds her arms. “Well, what is it?”
Fade groans. “Liam is not going to love that.”
