Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1074

Michael had also given Aaron an ultimatum.

If Stella was not found within a week, Aaron would answer for it.

Michael had already been overwhelmed lately by problems elsewhere.

He still had no idea what had happened between Aaron and Stella.

If he found out, his anger would be impossible to contain.

“Keep searching,” Aaron ordered. “Ask Felix whether he’s made any progress.”

“Mr. Hernandez isn’t answering his phone,” Gray said. “He probably hasn’t found anything either.”

Felix had gone out to search for Stella and had not returned.

He clearly seemed genuinely frantic this time.

More and more of his people throughout Eirden had also been pulled into the search.

Aaron fell silent.

No news.

People often said no news was good news.

But Aaron could not shake the panic inside him.

Stella was his sister.

When it came to the Hogarth family’s interests, he wanted her standing beside him.

But whenever she was in danger, he would still do everything in his power to protect her.

This situation was tearing at him.

He had no idea where she was.

She had vanished right before his eyes.

He did not know what kind of danger she might be facing.

He could not even ensure her safety.

Aaron might have made certain plans involving Stella during the conflict with Litt.

But in his mind, he had still been completely capable of protecting her.

Now, however, he was truly afraid.

After Gray and Leah left, Aaron called Felix himself.

Felix had ignored Gray’s calls, but this time he answered.

“Hello.”

His voice sounded exhausted, as though he had nothing good to report.

If Stella’s own people had taken her, that would be far better than the alternatives.

But was that truly what had happened?

“Has anyone contacted you with threats or demands?” Felix asked.

If an enemy had taken Stella, they would have either threatened Aaron or demanded something in return.

“No.”

Aaron had received no such calls over the past few days.

That made it less likely that a rival had taken her.

“Then it was probably her own people,” Felix said.

Aaron fell silent again.

Now that Felix had suggested it, Aaron began to suspect that Stella might have arranged everything herself.

The strategies she had devised for Amos were proof that she was capable of something like this.

She planned too carefully.

“If that’s true, finding her won’t be easy,” Aaron said.

If Stella’s own people had taken her away, then she was deliberately hiding from all of them.
