Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1103

Seaborne was already a mess.

And sooner or later, the conflict between Evan and Aaron was going to explode.

Evan was far too obsessed when it came to Stella.

At this point, even Amos wasn’t sure what Evan would choose if he were forced once again to pick between Stella and the Wright family.

He already regretted what had happened with Stella and Yara deeply enough.

If he chose the Wright family again this time, Amos would genuinely lose all respect for him.

Still, it was a brutal choice to have to make.

“There’s nothing I can do. Seriously, nothing,” Amos said. “So we should just head to Sevi Valley for a while.”

They could come back and deal with the aftermath once Evan and Aaron were done tearing each other apart.

Ivy nodded. “Sounds good to me.”

She’d been thinking the same thing.

If they stayed in Seaborne and Evan and Aaron really went to war, there was no way Amos and Ivy would escape the fallout.

By then, it wouldn’t matter whether Amos wanted to get involved.

He’d be dragged into it whether he liked it or not.

...

It didn’t take long for Evan to hear that Amos was taking Ivy away on vacation.

They were leaving that very afternoon.

Evan was genuinely surprised when he heard.

He let out a cold laugh. “You just don’t want to help me, do you?”

He and Aaron were clearly on the verge of going to war, and Amos suddenly wanted to take a vacation?

He couldn’t even be bothered to come up with a believable excuse.

Of all times, this was when he wanted a vacation?

Amos shrugged. “Can’t help it. You know me. I spoil my wife.”

Evan’s expression darkened even further.

He was the one without a wife now.

Did Amos really have to flaunt his marriage in his face?

“Ivy wants to go,” Amos continued. “What can I do?”

The casual way he said it made the coming showdown between Evan and Aaron sound almost insignificant.

Amos knew Aaron well enough to make a pretty good guess.

Aaron probably regretted everything.

That was why he refused to let Evan disturb Stella now.

He even wanted to sever the last connection between Evan and Stella after her death.

At the words disturbing Stella, Evan’s heart sank uncontrollably.

Was that really all this was?

Was Aaron simply trying to keep him from disturbing Stella’s peace after death?

The scene from Blackwater region half a month ago flashed through his mind again.

Every detail replayed itself over and over.

And the more Evan thought about it, the more certain he became that something about that day had been wrong.

Seeing him fall silent, Amos said, “I’m telling you this for your own good. She’s already dead. You need to stop obsessing over this.”

She was gone.

What good could his obsession possibly do now?
