Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1104

Evan looked at him. “If Ivy died and someone asked you to divorce her afterward, would you do it?”

“Don’t compare yourself to me. We’re nothing alike!”

The second Evan tried to compare the two of them, Amos wanted to spit.

Compare himself to Amos?

Was he even worthy?

Amos wasn’t trying to brag, but there was a reason Ivy had loved him for so many years.

And now a man who had lost his own wife over and over again actually had the nerve to compare himself to Amos?

Hell no.

And what was this nonsense about Ivy dying?

Amos was already annoyed by Evan’s ridiculous hypothetical.

Evan asked, “Do you really think she’s dead?”

He was talking about Stella.

Amos fell silent.

Seriously?

It wasn’t even dark yet, and Evan was already dreaming.

Amos knew Evan had refused to believe Stella was dead this entire time.

But Evan had seen what happened that day with his own eyes.

“You’re still clinging to that fantasy?” Amos demanded. “What, so if she’s actually alive, you can keep hurting her and abandoning her until you really do get her killed?”

As far as Amos was concerned, Evan had already seen the evidence himself.

What was there left to doubt?

“I never saw her body,” Evan said.

“You saw enough to know...”

“It wasn’t complete.”

Amos went silent again.

Evan sounded utterly certain, as though unless he saw Stella’s entire body with his own eyes, nothing would convince him she was dead.

There was something bitterly ironic about that.

If he expected her body to have been intact...

“Do you have any idea how much Silas hated her?” Amos shot back.

Amos stared at him.

“In a hurry to destroy something?”

He frowned. “Do you even hear yourself right now?”

Evan said nothing.

“You think it’s suspicious that Felix didn’t get there immediately. Then you think it’s suspicious that he ordered Blackwater region destroyed.”

“If he didn’t arrive right away, you say that means Stella wasn’t important enough to him. But if he was rushing there and couldn’t make it in time, wouldn’t he obviously be frantic? And if he gave an order like that, wouldn’t that also make sense if he was furious and desperate?”

“What evidence destruction are you even talking about?”

Given what had happened...

Amos scoffed.

“And besides, Stella supposedly meant everything to you too, didn’t she?”

“You still pushed her away.”

“And now you’re sitting here trying to judge whether she mattered enough to Felix?”

“Don’t you think that’s ridiculous?”
