Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1137

Stella no longer had feelings for Felix, but she had known him long enough to understand him.

The look he had given Jennifer back at the restaurant was enough for Stella to guess what he was planning.

When they returned to the lodge, Felix reached for her to carry her out of the car.

Stella looked at him.

“Honestly, I don’t mind burning everything down with you.

“The peace I wanted is already gone anyway.”

The peace she had wanted was a life without any of them in it.

But Felix was still here.

So this wasn’t the kind of peace she had wanted at all.

Her meaning couldn’t have been clearer.

If anything happened to Jennifer in Sima Mountain, Stella didn’t mind letting the entire world know that both she and Felix were still alive.

Felix had used that secret to threaten her.

And now she was using the exact same thing against him.

Felix’s breathing tightened.

He squeezed her hand lightly.

“You know I don’t like being threatened.”

“No one does. I don’t either.”

Who liked being threatened?

Felix knew perfectly well that Stella hated it too.

And yet hadn’t he done exactly the same thing to her?

Stella looked at him.

“Remember this. Don’t touch Jennifer.”

Felix said, “I won’t touch her. But if something happens to her that has nothing to do with me, you can’t blame me.”

“No. I’ll blame you.”

Her answer was immediate and firm.

Felix fell silent.

Their eyes met.

A trace of displeasure appeared in his dark gaze.

Stella continued, “I don’t care how it happens. If anything happens to her, I’ll blame you.”

In other words, she was putting everything on him.

It was the only way she could make sure Felix truly left Jennifer alone.

Men like Felix could make someone disappear and erase every trace so thoroughly that no one would ever find out the truth.

Stella refused to let that happen.
