She wouldn’t leave behind the slightest trace.
After all, Jennifer was back with Leon now, and Leon was still on fairly good terms with Evan.
If she accidentally let something slip...
Truthfully, Jennifer could understand why Felix had wanted her gone.
His feelings for Stella were very real.
He had finally managed to get both himself and Stella completely away from Evan and the Hogarth family. Of course he didn’t want anyone finding out they were still alive.
And Leon had been searching for Jennifer nonstop.
Sooner or later, he would have traced her to Sima Mountain.
So the fact that Felix had let Jennifer live was already a kind of mercy.
And Stella had clearly played a big part in that.
...
Downstairs, Vivian glanced toward the second floor with a dark expression before turning to Leon.
He was sprawled across from her with a careless, almost defiant air.
Vivian rarely saw this side of him.
In her eyes, her son had always been obedient and successful. He had always made her proud.
But now...
It was all because of Jennifer.
That woman had ruined her perfectly good son.
Leon noticed where she was looking.
“What are you staring at? Were you expecting her to come downstairs and play the dutiful daughter-in-law for you?”
Vivian’s face darkened.
“You brat. What are you talking about?”
His attitude only made her angrier.
Look at how much he had changed.
And it was all because of Jennifer.
He had never acted like this before.
Leon gave a humorless smile.
“You wouldn’t appreciate it even if she did.”
He leaned back.
“So stop staring upstairs, and don’t start complaining that she has no manners.”
What difference would it make if Jennifer treated Vivian politely?
